- Luke 17:5–10, Jesus teaches two connected lessons:
Faith: Even a tiny amount of genuine faith (“the size of a mustard seed”) has great power because its strength lies in God, not in its size.
Servanthood: Disciples should obey God humbly, not expecting praise or reward. Like servants fulfilling their duty, believers serve out of love and faithfulness, not to earn merit.

Jesus tells the story of a rich man who lived in luxury while a poor beggar, Lazarus, suffered outside his gate. When they died, Lazarus was comforted in heaven while the rich man was in torment. The rich man begged for relief and for his family to be warned, but it was too late.
The message: Wealth and status mean nothing after death—what matters is how we live before God, showing mercy and compassion to others.0 Comments 0 Shares 135 Views

- Charlie Kirk , worldwide persecution and murder of Christians. Last week my church showed a video of persecuted Christians around the world. This week Charlie Kirk was murdered because of his Christianity and his platform that spread the word to young people around the United States. I was truly horrified by both of these. So many people are being murdered for their faith! Sometimes I feel like I live in a bubble. I am so safe going to church and speaking my opinion about Christ while others have to hide and have fear of being killed. Here on Lordsbook we can come together worldwide and pray for persecuted Christians everywhere. Please let us all remember to pray daily for those that have to worship in secret. Pray for a worldwide revival that all people can worship Christ Jesus and safety. Thank you and God bless.0 Comments 0 Shares 121 Views

- Let's help spread this video and this message. The world needs sanity, unity, and compassion to defeat the media and its polarization that makes people cheer violence to solve political debates. No matter our political differences, we should be able to argue and remain friends. The us versus them mentality is not useful - we must collaborate to end this sentiment. Put aside blame and solve the problems together. Let's be kind and show understanding, not getting carried away being angry and emotional. No lives are expendable or acceptable losses.

- In John 3:13-17, the Catholic interpretation emphasizes that Jesus, as the Son of Man, is the sole one to ascend to heaven, having descended from it. His "lifting up" on the cross, like Moses' bronze serpent, signifies a triumph of God's immense love, offering eternal life to all who believe in Him, not condemnation. This passage is central to the Catholic understanding of salvation, revealing that God's gift of His Son is for the world's salvation, not its judgment.0 Comments 0 Shares 120 Views

- Luke 14 : 1, 7-14
One sabbath when he went to dine at the house of a ruler who belonged to the Pharisees, they were watching him. Now he told a parable to those who were invited, when he marked how they chose the places of honor, saying to them, “When you are invited by any one to a marriage feast, do not sit down in a place of honor, lest a more eminent man than you be invited by him; and he who invited you both will come and say to you, ‘Give place to this man,’ and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place. But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher’; then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you. For every one who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your kinsmen or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return, and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. You will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”0 Comments 0 Shares 121 Views

- Gospel Lk 13:22-30
"People will come from the East and the West and will take their places at the table in the kingdom of God."
Jesus tells us that all people are called to salvation and to live with God; however, this plan of God must be embraced by each person, who must therefore strive to pass through the narrow door, lest, through negligence, they remain outside the hall of the banquet of the kingdom of God.0 Comments 0 Shares 125 Views - 0 Comments 0 Shares 126 Views
- As the Jubilee of Youth came to a close—an event first envisioned by Pope Francis and now brought to fulfillment under the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV—more than 120,000 young people gathered in a powerful witness of faith and hope for today’s world.
The participants, all members of the Neocatechumenal Way, traveled from 109 countries across five continents to take part in this historic gathering on August 4. The meeting took place in the same location where the Holy Father welcomed the young pilgrims, and was marked by a spirit of joy, renewal, and missionary zeal.
The event was presided over by the International Responsible Team of the Way: Kiko Argüello, María Ascensión Romero, and Father Mario Pezzi, who encouraged the young people to respond generously to God’s call and to be signs of hope in a world in need of peace and reconciliation. As the Jubilee of Youth came to a close—an event first envisioned by Pope Francis and now brought to fulfillment under the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV—more than 120,000 young people gathered in a powerful witness of faith and hope for today’s world. - Mary set out
and went quickly to the hill country,
to a town in Judah.
She entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting,
the child leapt in her womb.
Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

- Summary of Luke 12:13-21:
A rich man has an abundant harvest and decides to tear down his barns to build bigger ones so he can store all his wealth. He thinks he will live comfortably for many years, but God calls him a fool, saying that his soul will be demanded that very night, and all his riches will be worthless.0 Comments 0 Shares 124 Views2

- Luke 11:5–8
Then Jesus said to them,
“Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say,
‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread;
a friend of mine on a journey has come to me,
and I have no food to offer him.’
And suppose the one inside answers,
‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked,
and my children and I are in bed.
I can’t get up and give you anything.’
I tell you,
even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship,
yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.”1 Comments 0 Shares 127 Views

- Luke 10:38–42
> 38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.
39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.
40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things,
42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

- Luke 10:25–37 (The Parable of the Good Samaritan)
And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?”
And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.”
But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead.
Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side.
So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion.
He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him.
And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’
“Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?”
He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.”0 Comments 0 Shares 127 Views

- Luke 10:17–20
The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”
And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.
Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
