- Heavenly Father, thank You that Christ is the propitiation for my sins and that His sacrificial death has paid the full price for my sins, brought me into eternal union with Himself, and returned me back into sweet fellowship with the Father. Thank You that by His glorious Resurrection, I have received newness of life and that this same offer of salvation is open to whosoever will believe. Thank You for all those who are coming to Christ in these last days. May many more come to a saving faith in Christ before it is too late. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

He is the supreme specimen of humility, grace, truth, and sacrificial love. He is the most perfect pattern of a perfect Man Who was pleased to say continuously, not My will, Father, but Thine be done.

- My Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me to preach the Word of truth, with all long-suffering and doctrine. Enable me to exhort and encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ, with the same godly passion for the good news of the gospel of Christ that was demonstrated in the life of the apostle Paul. And I pray that in due time I may also say, I have finished the work that You have given me to do - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith, to Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13(NASB)
Of all the gifts and graces that are poured out in great abundance into the lives of believers, there are three that out-shine and out-last all others. When prophecy is complete, languages cease, signs are silenced, and miracles of health, healing, provision, and protection are no longer needed. We are told that these three spiritual fruit of God’s amazing grace will continue and will remain and abide into the eternal state: faith, hope, and love.
In this earthly life, faith must remain a high priority. Faith is vital, for we live by faith and not by sight, and the blessed hope we have in Christ and His soon return, does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to all who trust in Christ for salvation. While faith and hope will certainly continue throughout the eternal ages (for our faith and hope will always be in our heavenly Father) it is love that will increase and multiply when we see Jesus face to face, for we see Him as He is and we shall be like Him.
The eternal God is perfect love and the perfect love of God has been eternally poured into our hearts through faith in Christ. But in this present world, we are taking our first steps on the pathway of love: a journey of love that will only increase through time and into eternity as we bathe in His presence and gaze into His lovely face.
Both faith and hope are a beautiful manifestation of the love of God in the life of a believer, because we live by faith and not by sight and we live in hope of our promised, eternal state in incorruptible bodies. But love is the greatest of all, for it will not only remain but it will enlarge and expand. It will increase and then it will grow even more, not only in this present age but in the eternal ages to come
When heaven is reached, the faith and hope we exercised in this life will be brought to a beautiful completion. Their respective purposes will be rewarded with sight, yet we will always maintain faith in our God and hope in our heavenly Father Who will continue to sustain us into the eternity of eternities as He upholds everything by the might of His majestic hand.
But love is a gift of God, and love is the primary a fruit of the Spirit that will continue to grow and expand beyond our wildest imaginings. The love of God that has been poured into our hearts will continue to increase and multiply - for the love of God is eternal. The love of God is broader than the measure of our mind. The loving heart of the Eternal is most wonderfully kind.
In the earthly realm, both faith and hope will last, for without faith it is impossible to please God and without hope we could not endure. But love is the loveliest grace of all, for during our sojourn on earth we are being conformed into the lovely image and likeness of the lovely Lord Jesus Christ Who is incarnate love. And it is by reflecting His love that we are to resemble the Lord, for God is Love and the love of God is broader than the span of our greatest imaginations, and the fondness of our Father towards us goes beyond our wildest dreams.
But this life is the first step into an eternity of love with God, the love of God, and our love for God and these three graces of faith, hope, and love must of necessity all continue beyond this mortal sphere. The attributes of God are incomparable in their beauty, His perfections are unlimited in their number, His excellence is everlasting in its duration, and splendour is absolute in its span.
We who have been saved by grace, are to enter into the glories of the celestial sphere and our understanding and knowledge of God must continue throughout the ages to come. Our faith in Him will stand fast forever, and our hope in Him will be forever realised. But it is the love of God that He has for us that will move us ever closer to the love that we have for Him as we abide in Him and He in us, through time and into eternity.
My Prayer
Thank You Father for Your gift of salvation by grace alone – simply because we believe in Your Son. Thank You for the hope that is set before us and thank You for the love of the Lord Jesus, which was demonstrated to us on a wooden cross, 2000 years ago. May His love flood our hearts and pour through us into the lives of others, that they may know Your love, have faith in Your finished work and receive that blessed hope in their hearts, that only comes from You, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.Connect With God Each Day 1/9/2026 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13(NASB) Of all the gifts and graces that are poured out in great abundance into the lives of believers, there are three that out-shine and out-last all others. It encourages us to trust Him to fulfil His promises, and it develops an unshakable faith in His Word, while discouraging the human propensity towards self-sufficiency and selfish pride.

"Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Matthew 26:41(NASB)
The accelerating events leading up to Christ's sacrifice on the Cross, are witnessed in these final chapters of Matthew's Gospel as multiple prophecies of His passion spill onto the pages of holy writ.
Mary of Bethany had anointed Jesus with precious perfume from her alabaster box, in readiness for His fast approaching crucifixion. Judas had left to betray his Master, and Jesus had instituted the Lord Supper, following that final Passover meal with the disciples He loved.
Jesus had graciously washed His disciples' feet, told Peter of the imminent denial of his Master, and had entered into agony of spirit as He wept and prayed three times in the garden of Gethsemane. His confused disciples however slept away this pivotal point in the history of mankind, while angels ministered to Jesus, the Lord of heaven and God of the universe, in His travail.
The Lord Jesus would have received much comfort of spirit and inner consolation, had His disciples shown some sympathy in the spiritual battle that Christ had entered. Jesus had been born for this hour and His whole life and ministry was focused on this even. Finally, the climatic point in time and eternity was reached when the Lamb of God, Who was slain from the foundation of the world, would take upon Himself the sin of the world.
Jesus knew that His life must be lived in total dependence on His heavenly Father's instructions, for although He was fully God, He willingly set aside His heavenly glory to live his earthly life as a full member of humanity - for only a sinless man, who lived in perfect obedience to God would qualify to become the Saviour of fallen humanity and redeem everything that the first Adam lost.
Although Jesus was true deity and the second manifestation of God , He was a true man who was tempted to sin just as we are tempted, yet He did not sin. He resisted temptation, learned obedience by the things He suffered, and lived a perfect life by depending on His Father, listening to the guidance of the indwelling Holy Spirit, standing on every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God, and praying without ceasing in thanksgiving and praise.
Jesus knew that the only way that He could successfully function in His body of flesh - and overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil, was in humble submission to His heavenly Father through the power of the indwelling Spirit. What an amazing example He set to us all.
No surprise that Christ admonished His sleepy and bemused followers to WATCH and PRAY: "Keep watching and keep praying," He urged them, "that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Jesus knew that sin had corrupted the nature of man and that the only way to live a victorious life in a fallen world, was to watch and pray continuously in utter dependence on the Father through the power of the indwelling Spirit. The desires of the flesh, the seductive lure that penetrates the eye-gate and the ear-gate, and the inner prideful nature of fallen man is incapable of resisting evil, even when man's inner spirit and his God-given conscience screams the reverse.
There is no respite from the attacks of the enemy for any child of God, and Christ's urgent warning to His disciples to watch and keep on watching, to pray and keep on praying, is as equally vital in today's evil age as it was when His disciples succumbed to the flesh on that momentous occasion.
Keep watching and keep praying is the guiding principle for every child of God, every moment of the day and throughout our time on earth: "Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation." It is only as we submit to God in humble submission and watchful prayer that we can resist the evil one.
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, but those that utterly depend on God, abide in Christ and pray in unity with the Holy Spirit are given the strength to overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil, for Christ not only paid the price for our sin but broke the power of sin in the lives of all who believe in this Christian dispensation. May we all stand firm on the gospel of grace and the Word of truth in full assurance that HIS grace is sufficient, for His power is perfected in our weakness.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, as I consider the passion of Christ and the enormous pressures and pain He underwent on my account, I can only praise and thank You for Your immeasurable gift and His incalculable grace. I understand that my own, fallen, fleshly resolve is weak, and that a powerful enemy is seeking to shipwreck my faith. But thanks be to God that in Christ, I have all I need to stand firm, as I watch and pray. Help me to rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing, and in everything, to give thanks and praise for Your goodness and grace. Help me, Father, to watch and pray in spirit and truth, and to abide in Christ day by day, to Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.Connect with God Each Day 1/7/2026 "Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
