Using Reference Images for AI Generation

You can select any image from your WordPress Media Library as a visual style reference when generating AI images.

How It Works

1. In the AI Generate panel, click Select Reference Image
2. Choose an image from your Media Library
3. Write your text prompt
4. Select your AI model
5. Click Generate

Multimodal vs Image-Only Models

• Multimodal models (e.g., Gemini) can “see” your reference image and use it to match style, composition, and mood
• Image-only models (e.g., Flux, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion) generate from the text prompt alone — the reference image is automatically skipped

The cost badge indicates whether a selected model supports reference images, so you’ll always know what to expect.
