Memories

It’s been almost a year.

Seems more like a lifetime.

There was no funeral.

No tears, or laughter.

Only silence.

And a small, but steady, hurrah.

    I’m not sure what the event was that prompted this poem, (or even if there was an event because I remember you saying before that sometimes your poems are not strictly autobiographical), but I thought it well-written. The last line in particular surprised me a bit. That wasn’t the direction I thought the poem was going in..

      Yay! I consider it a success then! Since it surprised you, and took an unexpected turn. And yes always good to er on the side of assuming someone’s writing is not autobiographical unless you know it is. Thanks for remembering that from before. Your memory is impressive. I know you have a very large circle of bloggers you keep in contact with. And I am honored to be one of the chosen ones. 🙂 Good day to you/ or night.
