Reservations?

She wore her favorite dress, excited about the dinner invitation.  It wasn’t like him to be spontaneous.  He arrived late, with a folder under one arm.

“I met with a lawyer last week.  I want a divorce.”

He talked logistics while she sipped Jasmine tea, his words slowly fading into the background.  Her mind sifted through the haze to more pleasant things …this sure is a nice place….I think I’ll come here back here some day….

No food was ordered.
