General & Getting Started
Q: How does ProjectManager differ from other software options?
A: ProjectManager is a true and all-encompassing project management software that's appealing to teams in all industries such as construction, manufacturing, professional services, and more.
Our software is affordable and powerful enough for simple or enterprise-level projects and includes one of the best Gantt charts in the industry. We offer five different project views, built-in resource tracking, automation, meetings, recurrency and so much more. Our pricing page outlines all of our features, price points and edition options.
Q: How can I change my plan?
A: We always give you the opportunity to change your monthly account at any time or toggle between paid plans. Please email sales@projectmanager.com for additional information.
Q: How can I cancel my plan?
Customers can cancel their account directly from the software by clicking on their avatar in the bottom left-hand corner. Navigate to Account > Billing and click the "Cancel Account" button in the bottom right-hand corner. If you have additional questions about how to cancel your account, email support@projectmanager.com.
Q: How do I change between light and dark modes?
A: To change modes, simply navigate to your Account menu and click "Enable Light Mode" or "Enable Dark Mode" depending on your preferences.
Q: How can I download the mobile app?
A: Our mobile app makes it easy to take productivity with you! Please visit either Google Play or the App Store to download it!
Q: How secure is ProjectManager?
A: Our Security Framework consists of standards and practices that form a multi-tiered approach to safeguarding data integrity, confidentiality, infrastructure, and network stability. We embed best practices for industry compliance through internal processes and conduct regular audits to maintain the most up-to-date security practices and protocols. Q: How do I contact support with a new question?

Q: What does "Global Admin" mean?
A: The Global Admin on your account has the highest level of security in the software and has special permissions.

Project & Task Management
Q: How can I hide project views?
A: Across the top of the software, you'll see small icons that represent our project views. Simply click the "+" button and uncheck the project views that you'd like to hide.
Q: How does ProjectManager work with Microsoft Project Files (MPP files)?
A: Microsoft Project files (MPP files) weren't designed to be shared outside of Microsoft Project and they cannot be shared with Mac users. Thankfully, ProjectManager makes it easy to import these files so your hard work isn't lost.
Select the Gantt view, and click import on the menu bar. This will import your MPP file into our online Gantt chart view. A popup window will appear. Follow the instructions to choose which MPP file you would like to import. Begin the import by selecting ‘Next.” Determine if you want this file to be added to a new or existing project. Close out of the pop-up window and start using the imported data!
Q: How can I print the Gantt chart?
A: To print the Gantt, click the print button on the Gantt ribbon to the right of the Export button. We have step-by-step instructions on how to print the Gantt here.

Q: How do I set a recurring task?
A: You can turn a task into a recurring task by updating the recurrency settings in the task card. Recurrency is located under the task name, between the task due date and priority. To create additional instances of your task, click recurrency to open the recurrence pop-up. You'll then be able to determine how often you want tasks to recur.
Q: How many custom templates can I create?
A: Those with Business and Enterprise plans can create as many custom templates as they'd like. They give an elevated level of customization and usability that pre-built templates do not.
Q: Who can access the custom templates that I create?
A: Any user in the account can access the custom template. However, only users with permission to "create and edit important project information" can save new custom templates.
Team & Resource Management
Q: How can I remove a large volume of resources quickly?
We recommend copying your project and saving it as a custom template. For example, if you want to adjust project working days, make a custom template out of your project and create a new project where you can set new working days.
Q: How do guest licenses work?
A: Guest licenses provide read-only access to project stakeholders who don't need a full ProjectManager license.
Guests will have read-only access to project plans, project status, milestones and dashboards, staying looped in on progress. Guests will not be able to collaborate on a project or complete tasks; however, they will be able to access pertinent details and insights.

Q: How do I invite my team into the software?
A: You can send a new invite by clicking New>Invite on the main navigation menu or with the keyboard shortcut Command + i. If you want to invite a new member on the Team page and click the "Invite People" button, this is another way to do so. You may invite one or multiple users at once.
Q: How do I submit a timesheet for approval?
A: Timesheets are available for those on our Business edition or above. Admins will be able to oversee and approve submitted timesheets directly in the software. If the timesheet is declined, it gets sent back to the user so they can resubmit it. The timesheet is locked for the user once it's submitted, but it becomes editable again if the approver declines the submission.

Q: How do I export a timesheet?
A: Timesheets can also be imported or exported as needed by using the up and down arrows located on the upper right-hand portion of the timesheet page.
Q: How do I change the number of people on my team?
A: You can change the number of people on your team by logging into your account and navigating to the Manage Users page. If you add or subtract users, your next monthly invoice will reflect the new price.
