How Sweet It Is

I needed someone to give me clicks
I needed someone with me to mix
So glad you found my location
You give my blog illumination
With sweet love and devotion
Deeply touching my emotion

I want to stop and thank you bloggers
I’ll never stop thanking you bloggers
How sweet it is to be followed by you
How sweet it is to be following you

My silly rhymes for you I write
Your comments give me such delight
So glad for our association
For you I have such admiration
With sweet love and devotion
Deeply touching my emotion

I want to stop and thank you bloggers
I’ll never stop thanking you bloggers
How sweet it is to be followed by you
How sweet it is to be following you

You never tell me that I’m a bore
You give me likes and so much more
So glad for your dedication
You made my blog one big sensation
With sweet love and devotion
Deeply touching my emotion

I want to stop and thank you bloggers
I’ll never stop thanking you bloggers
How sweet it is to be followed by you
How sweet it is to be following you

One Word Sunday – Sweet

Meme’s Piano Bar – 3

Give my regards to Broadway!
Remember me to Herald Square!
Tell all the gang at Forty Second Street
That I will soon be there!

Whisper of how I’m yearning
To mingle with the old time throng!
Give my regards to Old Broadway
And say that I’ll be there, ‘ere long!

“If you drink don’t drive. Don’t even putt.” Dean Martin

“I thought that if I did not eat and drink then death would simple follow, but in practice I found that thirst becomes such frantic obsession that it takes a greater resolve than mine to resist it.” Christopher Priest

ALBERT: “Oh,yes, sir. But alcohol sort of compensates for not getting them.” Terry Pratchett.

Meme’s Piano Bar – 4

It had to be you It had to be you
I wandered around and finally found
The somebody who
Could make me be true could make me be blue
And even be glad
Just to be sad – thinking of you

Some others I’ve seen
Might never be mean
Might never be cross or try to be boss
But they wouldn’t do

For nobody else gave me a thrill
With all your faults I love you still
It had to be you
Wonderful you
It had to be you

“Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world.” Kaiser Wilhelm

Meme’s Piano Bar – 2

Grab your coat and get your hat
leave your worry on the doorstep
Just direct your feet
to the sunny side of the street

Can’t you hear that pitter pat
and that happy tune is your step
Life can be so sweet
on the sunny side of the street

I used to walk in the shade
with those blues on parade
But I’m not afraid
’cause this rover crossed over

If I never had a cent
I’ll be as rich as old Rockefeller
Gold dust at my feet
on the sunny side of the street

“The only thing better than singing is more singing.” Ella Fitzgerald

Meme’s Piano Bar -1

I have a friend named Meme who visited my blog years ago. We were very close.

My friends are Meme’s friends
And Meme’s friends are mine
My thoughts are her thoughts
That’s why they are so fine

Our blogs are very different
Tho’ we’ve been together from the start
And we love our blogging followers
With the same beating heart

Meme opened a little Piano Bar and texted me asking if she could sing some of her best songs for my followers. “Anything for an old friend,” I replied, “as long you serve free cocktails.”

“Singing, it’s like it’s like loving somebody, it’s a supreme emotional and physical experience”. Janice Joplin

Pingo – Visitation

You may remember The Unicorn Challenge hosted by C.E. Ayr and Jenne Gray. It gave bloggers – writers and readers – hours of fun. The challenge came to an end but not before announcing that C.E. Ayr had written a new book – Pingo – with Jenne doing the hard part – editing. The author told us we could purchase the book on Amazon or read on a Kindle for free. I had purchased his book Beginning of After and wrote a short review of the story.

I didn’t have a Kindle – didn’t even know what it was. I didn’t even own an iPhone until my daughter gave me an old one she no longer used. “Free” sounded pretty good so I asked daughter if she had an old Kindle. Fortunately she did. So I now have Pingo and his three other books on the Kindle. I took the picture above of my Kindle page with my iPhone. Never too old to learn something new.

I had no intention of writing a review of his new book. I think one would have to read it twice and I wasn’t going to do that. C.E does admit that the book is a biography of a sort. Most of it is conversation with a bit of description of Scotland or other places he has worked or visited.

But with whom is he conversing??? C.E is not shy talking to women. In northwest USA he meets up with or re-meets up with an old acquaintance named Penny. Why name a character Penny? I suppose it made cents to him. During intervals of renewing their physical friendship, he reveals his many other encounters to her. Penny is always questioning him about this or that, about where and when and with who or whom. They laugh a lot, perhaps knowing they may never meet again.

While reading the book I never wondered what would happen next or if there was a happy ending. I don’t know his reason for writing the book. Perhaps C.E wanted to keep these memories alive. Maybe we should all write a biography with lies or damn lies to keep our own memories alive.

Midnight no poems in my Dashboard
Rhymes lost in my memory I’m smiling alone
In my desk light the words collect in my mind
But all thoughts away have blown

Memory all alone in my Dashboard
I smile at friends’ blogs oh how they thrive
I remember the likes and comments we gave
Let the memories stay alive

WordPress tears falling from my eyes
I must not think of writing there are no more rhymes
When the morrow comes keep me in your memory
Don’t forget the good times

Dream Meanings – 14

Dear Ladysighs, My dreams have always been in technicolor, but this latest dream was in black and white. I dreamed I was a zebra but can’t remember if I was white with black stripes or black with white stripes. I feel quite mixed up. What is the meaning of this strange dream?

Nothing in life is ever black and white. You can’t make up your mind about things because your brain cells are always working. When writing comments it’s best to respond with a shade of gray or one of these days you might write something embarrassing and your stripes will change to bright red and white. Or maybe white and red.

You’re a bit egotistical there is no doubt
Bur don’t sit around all day and pout
Give generous replies without a gripe
Everyone knows you as the pin-stripe-type

RDP Wednesday: GENEROUS

So endeth the Dream Series. Thanks for reading.

Dream Meanings – 13

Dear Ladysighs, I dreamed I was a swan in distress. I didn’t know if I was a black swan or a white swan. I was afraid to wake up and find out. Can you explain this crazy situation to me?

You never distress anyone in WordPress and are always concerned about others. You give the best and kindest comments. Your performance is always satisfying. I am sure you are a white swan with nothing to worry about. But just in case, you need to put a big BLACK X on one side of your pillow case and never ever sleep on that side again.

Your greatest asset is staying calm and cool
Writing comments to all without doubt or fear
Helping bloggers to find a joyful gentle place
Making the directions perfectly clear

RDP Tuesday! Situation!

Dream Meanings – 12

Dear Ladysighs, I keep dreaming I am a rooster. But instead of hollering out “cock-a-doodle-doo”, I slink away with my head between my wings whispering “slinky-dinky-doo”.

You sometimes doubt your own ability and think you are useless. You need not worry for you always give others peace of mind and never a piece of your mind.

Much respected in WordPress
Members enjoy what you are saying
Reading every post you are writing
Loving the help you are conveying

Ever alert with an active mind
Intelligence you are displaying
Posters give you their full attention
Liking what you are purveying

RDP Monday: SLINKY

Dream Meanings – 11

Ladysighs, I dreamed I was a rabbit. Hip-pity hopping from one blog to another leaving colored eggs instead of likes. Will you please tell me what this dream means?

Your problem is getting anyone to take you seriously. Instead of dreaming you’re the Easter Bunny try dreaming you are a Gentle Giant Jack Rabbit. Get back in the race! Your mind is a breeding ground of ideas. You will earn First Place!

Always easy-going
