We're a small, US-based team of chemists, operators, and customer-success people who care more about analytical rigor than about closing the next quarter. If that sounds like a place you'd want to work, read on.
Why work at Koi
Koi was built by chemists. The instinct that runs through everything — synthesis, analytics, customer support, ops — is to do the work properly the first time. We hire slowly, train deeply, and trust people to make good calls without three layers of approval.

Small team means flat structure. The person doing the work decides how the work gets done.

All positions are full-time. Most are on-site at our Austin, TX or Long Beach, CA facilities (some remote roles noted below).

How hiring works
We respect your time. We'll give you a yes or a no within two weeks of the first conversation. No ghosting.
Step 01
30-minute conversation with a hiring manager. Mostly: what are you good at, what do you want next.
Step 02
For science roles: a deep-dive on your past work and a small bench-relevant problem. For ops/CS: a written exercise.
Step 03
Half-day on-site (or remote-equivalent). Meet the people you'd actually work with. We pay for travel.
Step 04
Within 5 business days of the team day. We'll explain the comp and equity in plain numbers.
