that spine-tingling you’re feeling
that intense fear, shock and/or disgust
it feels real, doesn’t it
it digs into you deep
so you’re breathing heavy
and shallower
and oh so much quieter
straining your ears harder
you believe
death is imminent
it’s in your head, love
there are no bogeymen
no one is whispering
creeping around in cool mists
getting all up in your face
hissing in your ears
chilling you to the bone
it’s your nerves fabricating this
and a hell of an imagination
i’m laughing at you….
wait. did you see that? what was that? did you hear that?
OMG!! HELP ME!! I WAS WRONG.
SO WRONG!!!
PSYCH! Just kidding… ;)

Loooved this 🧡
:) Glad you enjoyed it, Jude! <3
I did 🧡
The screaming sound effect 😱
really helped to set the mood 😎
I deal in reality! ;) lol
Nice twist. The scream is really horrible.
LOL Yep, and appropriate! ;)
Listening at night, it gave me Goosebumps.
Oh, oh, don’t do that again! ;)

Horror — by Susi Bocks
The image you used is relevant in other ways for me. Today, we celebrate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, and one of his teachings are summarised in pics saying “Do not see, hear or speak evil.” I find this pic relevant because we celebrate ghosts, while horror and crime is all around us every day.
Thank you, Susi!
I’m glad this spoke to you, Reena! Thank YOU, for the prompt. :)
Excellent take! Feels like characters jumped out of the pages of a book.
Done perfectly!
Thanks, Sadje! :)
