Scott Caithness

Scott has 40 years experience in mineral exploration at senior management, executive committee and board levels across Australia, Asia, Africa and the Pacific with roles in some of the world’s largest resources companies.  These include Exploration Director at global diversified miner Vedanta Resources and its subsidiary Hindustan Zinc Limited and Country Manager roles in Papua New Guinea and India at Rio Tinto, where he led exploration programs across Australia, Asia-Pacific and South Asia.

Scott co-founded and was Managing Director of Indian Pacific Resources (now ASX listed Akora Resources Limited) and he was a Senior Trade Commissioner to Malaysia and Brunei for the Australian Trade Commission. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) from RMIT University and is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy (AusIMM) and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
