IMARC Social Impact

Driving positive social outcomes within the communities in which we operate

IMARC and our partners are passionate about making a positive and valuable social impact within the communities in which mining operates. While the event itself highlights what and how the industry is doing this as part of individual company or collaborative efforts, IMARC's organisers, Beacon Events, are also driving this through some of the exciting initiatives that we support through the event.

NextGen Program Partners

NextGen Program Partners

With the generous support of IMARC 2025 attendees and Beacon Events, a total of $15,000 was donated to our NextGen Program Partners: CoRE Learning Foundation, Australian Earth Science Education, and AREEA - Australian Resources & Energy Employer Association's Bright Future STEM Program.  In 2026, we look forward to expanding our NextGen Programs, and help cultivate connections between industry and its future workforce.

Balance for Better

Balance for Better

IMARC continues its commitment to being an event that promotes Balance for Better; highlighting the impact and achievements of women in mining while also reflecting the strides being made industry-wide to be more gender balanced and showcase the industry-wide benefits of diversity, equity and inclusion. Over 150 speakers at IMARC 2025 represented women in mining from financial, technical, operational and leadership roles, many of whom champion diversity and inclusion with their colleagues from across the industry. From topics and speakers providing technical presentations, investor insights, and plenary keynotes, IMARC’s commitment to Balance for Better & DEI is seen throughout. For IMARC 2026, IMARC will continue its commitment to provide and create opportunities, welcoming people from all walks of life, and of all backgrounds.

IWIMRA

IWIMRA

Indigenous Women in Mining and Resources Australia (IWIMRA) have been First Nations Partners of IMARC since 2021 and together, the partnership has fostered stronger connections between First Nations communities and the minerals and resources sector. IMARC has provided a platform for indigenous women, who had never before had a voice on the international stage, to outline topics important to the First Nations communities. Over the past three years, IWIMRA has invited IMARC attendees to contribute to a unique piece of artwork that represents collaboration between indigenous people and the mining industry.

AEMEE

AEMEE

IMARC welcomed Aboriginal Enterprises in Mining, Energy and Exploration (AEMEE) as our First Nations Partner in 2025. Last year, IMARC launched the First Nations Pavilion, hosted by AEMEE. This dedicated space will provide a platform for First Nations businesses, leaders, and innovators to connect with industry stakeholders, showcase their expertise, and explore meaningful partnership opportunities.

IMARC is proud to support the future of Australia's mining industry through our sponsorship of both the Sydney Mining Club and the newly launched Hunter Mining Club.

As the NextGen sponsor for the Sydney Mining Club, we’re helping to nurture the next generation of mining professionals by creating opportunities for students and emerging leaders to connect with industry veterans, grow their networks, and stay ahead of evolving sector trends.

Launched in 2025, the Hunter Mining Club was established to connect the Hunter and NSW mining industry with information and opportunities through networking.

These clubs play a crucial role in strengthening professional networks, supporting regional leadership, and driving knowledge exchange. By partnering with them, IMARC reaffirms its commitment to a more connected, collaborative, and future-ready mining ecosystem.
