Code of Conduct

At Beacon Events, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and professional environment at all our events. All attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and staff are expected to abide by the following Code of Conduct.

1. Professionalism & Respect

  1. Treat all participants with courtesy, dignity, and respect
  2. Maintain a professional demeanour in all interactions - in conference sessions, networking areas, on the exhibition floor, and during social functions
  3. Respect personal space, boundaries, and individual perspectives

2. Zero Tolerance for Harassment

  1. Harassment of any kind - including but not limited to verbal abuse, discriminatory language, intimidation, inappropriate physical contact, or unwelcome attention - will not be tolerated
  2. This applies to all aspects of the event, including presentations, social gatherings, and online platforms

3. In clusivity & Diversity

  1. Beacon Events is committed to diversity and inclusion. Attendees should support an environment free from bias based on gender, race, age, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other protected characteristic

4. Confidentiality & Privacy

  1. Respect the privacy and intellectual property of other participants
  2. Do not record sessions, take photographs, or distribute content without express permission
  3. Refrain from sharing other attendees’ personal data without consent

5. Responsible Networking

  1. Engage in networking that is constructive, ethical, and aligned with the event’s purpose
  2. Aggressive sales tactics, solicitation outside of designated areas, or inappropriate behaviour during meetings are not

6. Compliance with Venue & Event Policies

  1. Follow all event-specific and venue-specific policies, including safety instructions and badge requirements
  2. Comply with local laws and regulations at the event location

7. Reporting Violations

  1. If you experience or witness any violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to Beacon Events staff - either in person or via the Beacon Events’ website here.
  2. All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality

8. Consequences of Misconduct

  1. Beacon Events reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to any breach of this Code, including:
    1. Verbal warning
    2. Expulsion from the event without refund
    3. Notification of employer or relevant authorities if required
