Oroco's Santo Tomas porphyry copper project, located in northwest Mexico with strong infrastructure access, is among the most capital-efficient large-scale copper projects globally, as demonstrated in a recent Preliminary Economic Assessment.

The PEA details a CAPEX of $1.1 billion, forecast annual production of 108k tonnes of CuEq, an NPV8 of $1.5 billion, and a 22.2% IRR (at $4.00/lb copper). Santo Tomas has a LOM output of 5.4 billion pounds (2.5 million tonnes) of CuEq, with a C1 cash cost averaging $1.54/lb. A significant portion of the resource remains to be incorporated into the mine plan, and an upcoming second exploration phase carries a probability of an increased resource and enhanced metrics, with a PFS expected by late 2025 or early 2026.

Santo Tomas hosts a 1.1 billion tonne, M, I&I resource in a low strip C-Mo-Au-Ag deposit in a top mining jurisdiction. It is located at low elevation,160 km from a Pacific deep-water port and within 20 km of a railway, sealed road, hydroelectric power, and the national grid. The site also benefits from natural gas from the Permian Basin’s Waha Hub via the Topolobampo Pipeline, some of the lowest cost energy globally.
