IDProtectClientx64

IDProtectClientx64 is the 64-bit Windows middleware from Athena Smartcard Solutions that enables PCs and applications to work with Athena IDProtect smart cards and USB tokens. It installs the required drivers and cryptographic interfaces (Microsoft smart card minidriver/CSP and a PKCS#11 module), allowing secure logon, digital signing, certificate-based authentication, and email or document encryption in common applications and browsers. The client also provides utilities for card and credential management, including PIN change and unlock, certificate enrollment or import, and basic token diagnostics, which helps streamline deployment and support in enterprise and government environments. Designed for standards-based interoperability, IDProtectClientx64 integrates with Windows CryptoAPI-aware software, NSS-based browsers, VPN clients, and other PKI-enabled tools. It requires a compatible Athena IDProtect card or token and a supported 64-bit edition of Windows.
