Entertainment Weekly Magazines

Entertainment Weekly was one of the main magazines that featured editions with The Hunger Games movie stories on the cover. To the best of my knowledge, the first seven of these eight issues represent a complete set of EW issues with those cover stories. The eighth edition is about Jennifer Lawrence as an actress.

EW #1156. May 27, 2011 – The Hunger Games.

EW #1166. August 5, 2011 – Men of the Hunger Games.

EW #1197. March 9, 2012 – The Hunger Games.

EW #1201. April 6, 2012 – Katniss Fever.

EW #1242. January 18, 2013 – First Look at Catching Fire.

EW #1280. October 11, 2013 – Catching Fire: An Exclusive Preview of Fall’s Hottest Movie. This edition had four variation covers: Katniss, Peeta, Gale, and Finnick.

EW #1384. October 9, 2015 – Game Over!

EW #1392. December 4, 2015 – Jennifer Lawrence.

People Magazine Special Editions

People magazine published a series of three Collector’s Special Editions. They contain some material similar to the Official Guidebooks and various movie special features. However, they also have related advertisements and information about pop culture responses not so commonly found in these other resources. That makes them useful for gauging cultural interest and patterns in this worldwide phenomenon.

US Magazine Collector’s Editions

US magazine published a series of five Collector’s Editions, all with “giant posters.” I do not have these in my library, but from eBay auction postings that I’ve seen, it looks like they contain many full-page photos, plus the giant posters (the equivalent of four pages).
