Global Academy delivers an ambitious curriculum, carefully designed to build knowledge over time and prepare students well for their future. Pupils follow a range of specific pathways in media, digital and business, supported by expert staff with industry experience and meaningful enrichment activities.
Students benefit from high-quality teaching, purposeful activities and strong partnerships with media business partners, which help them to build securely on classroom learning. Sixth form students take part in extended work placements and gain considerable confidence and knowledge through these opportunities.

The Academy’s sixth-form provision is Outstanding. Students achieve exceptionally well, supported by expert teaching, ambitious vocational pathways and industry-led learning experiences.
Inspectors praised the strong outcomes, high-quality qualifications, and confidence students gain through extended placements with business partners. Sixth form students are excellent role models, making tangible contributions to the life of the school.

Behaviour and attitudes at Global Academy are Outstanding. Students demonstrate exemplary behaviour, professional etiquette, and a highly positive and committed attitude to their studies.
The school is a calm and orderly place, with pupils showing confidence and respect towards staff and one another. Students lead by example, supporting peers and showing persistence in the face of difficulties.

The school’s personal development programme is of exceptional quality. Pupils benefit from a rich and stimulating range of wider opportunities, including radio broadcasting, podcasting, music production, cultural visits and rock climbing.
Students are encouraged to discuss and debate diverse ideas, work collaboratively, and understand and appreciate difference in the world. Careers education, advice and guidance is excellent, ensuring pupils are very well-informed about the workplace and future opportunities.
