Summary

  • Replace recursive generate_transitive_esm_init with an explicit stack-based iterative approach to prevent stack overflow on deeply nested or circular module graphs
  • Avoid per-call function overhead by using an explicit stack, which also improves performance slightly
  • Simplify deduplication check by using insert's return value instead of separate contains + insert calls

Test plan

  • Existing tests pass — no logic change
