  • remove the desktop nightly update channel from the settings UI and shared update-channel typing
  • migrate persisted nightly users to stable at runtime and normalize legacy values in the updater flow
  • disable the nightly desktop release workflow and remove nightly from the manual desktop build entry
  • generate commit-based canary release notes and inject the same notes into desktop updater metadata
