Everything you need to know about making money, building value, and turning every product into a long-term investment in yourself.
Rocky is not an influencer platform. We don't care how many followers you have. We don't care if you have zero.
Rocky connects real people with real brands and pays you to create authentic content about products you actually use. You're not performing for an algorithm — you're sharing genuine opinions, and brands pay for that signal.
You don't need a following. You don't need a ring light. You need to be a real human with a real opinion. That's it.
Anyone. Moms, dads, students, grandparents, fitness people, beauty lovers, foodies — anyone who buys products and can share an honest take on camera or in writing.
We've had creators with 12 followers create some of the most valuable content on the platform. Rocky values authenticity over audience size. Period.
100% legit. Brands pay Rocky for access to the real behavioral data and authentic content that creators like you produce. That's the business model.
Brands are tired of paying influencers $10K for a post that gets fake engagement. They want to know what real people actually think. You provide that — and you get paid for it.
Rocky takes a cut from what brands pay. You get your cut for your work. Everybody eats.
Rocky has two earning paths. Think of them as your floor and your ceiling:
Open Industries is your baseline — always available, always earning. Post about products you already own in any of Rocky's 5 open industries. Each approved & shared post earns you a flat $5. Up to 2 posts per industry per week, across 5 industries. That's 10 posts = $50/week, every single week.
Rocky Collabs are where you break through the ceiling. These are paid brand partnerships with higher payouts, performance tiers, licensing opportunities, and earning potential that goes well beyond $50/week.
$5 per approved & shared post. Flat rate. Every time.
Rocky has 5 open industries (Beauty, Food & Beverage, Fashion, Footwear, and more). You can post about any product you already own in any of these industries. Cap: 2 approved posts per industry, per week.
Rocky Collabs are direct brand partnerships. A specific brand is live on Rocky with content goals, payout structures, and sometimes challenges with bonus earnings.
Higher per-post payouts — often $5–$35+ based on quality and performance
Licensing fees — $50 per video / $25 per image on top of your base pay
Challenge bonuses — special activations with increased payouts
Buy once, earn forever — you purchase the product, but that purchase is your investment. Keep creating content and earning from it month after month.
Casual (Open Industries only): $25–$50/week. Post about products you already own. Steady, reliable income.
Active (Open Industries + 1–2 Rocky Collabs): $75–$150/week. Open Industries base plus brand-specific payouts.
Committed (Open Industries + multiple Rocky Collabs + licensing): $250–$500+/week. Stacking brands, hitting performance thresholds, getting content licensed.
If you've been doing Open Industries, you've already proven the hardest part: you can create. Now it's time to get paid what that muscle is worth.
| Open Industries | Rocky Collabs | |
|---|---|---|
| Pay per post | $5 flat | $5–$35+ (tiers) |
| Product | You buy your own | Buy once — earn indefinitely |
| Licensing | Not available | $50/video, $25/image |
| Weekly ceiling | $50/week max | $250–$500+/week |
| Brand relationship | Indirect | Direct — brands see you |
| Challenges | No | Yes — increased payouts |
Every product you buy is an investment, not an expense.
When you purchase a product for a Rocky Collab, you're buying inventory that generates returns. You buy once. You earn from it over and over.
Absolutely — and you should. The best creators on Rocky do both. Open Industries is your steady $50/week base. Rocky Collabs are your growth engine on top.
Think of Open Industries as your salary and Rocky Collabs as your commission. You want both.
First: don't take it personally. Content not getting approved doesn't mean it's bad — it usually means it didn't hit a specific requirement.
1. You didn't follow the brief. Read it carefully before you create. Then read it again.
2. The product isn't clearly visible. Make sure the product is front and center at some point.
3. Audio or video quality is too low. Good lighting (even a window), steady hands, and clear audio go a long way.
4. The content feels scripted. Talk naturally. Be yourself.
5. It's a duplicate or cross-post. Each piece must be original to the brand you're submitting for.
6. You shared outside Rocky. Content must be shared using Rocky's built-in share feature for tracking.
The content that performs best on Rocky might surprise you. It's not the most polished. It's the most real.
A mom in her kitchen at 7am talking about a baby wipe while her toddler smashes Cheerios in the background — that's gold.
A guy in his car after a workout saying "okay so I tried this and here's the deal" — that's exactly what brands want.
Yes. You create it. It's yours. If a brand wants to license your content for their own marketing, that's a separate payout — $50 per video, $25 per image — on top of whatever you already earned.
Say so. Seriously. Rocky is not here to generate fake 5-star reviews. Brands want honest signal — what real people actually think. Never feel pressured to fake enthusiasm.
1. You participate — create content, share your opinion through Rocky.
2. You earn — $5 per Open Industries post, more for Rocky Collabs.
3. Your data compounds — every piece of content enriches your creator profile.
4. Brands discover you — your richer profile makes you more visible.
5. You get invited to more (and better) collabs — which takes you back to step 1, but at a higher level.
You still get paid for what you did. But you're leaving the most valuable part of Rocky on the table.
Think of it like a savings account. Compound interest only works if you keep depositing. Each post is a deposit into your Rocky profile — and the returns get bigger over time.
No. Some of the highest-value content on Rocky is a mom filming her honest 30-second take while her kid runs around in the background. Rocky wants real. Not polished.
If you can talk about a product for 30 seconds like you'd talk to a friend, you're more than qualified.
1. They do Rocky Collabs — not just Open Industries. Every creator earning $250+ is stacking collabs.
2. They show up consistently. Not every day. But regularly. They treat Rocky like a side hustle, not a one-time thing.
3. They stay authentic. They don't try to be influencers. They just share their real lives and real opinions.
Because Rocky's business model is aligned with yours. When you create great, authentic content → Rocky's data gets better → Brands pay more → Rocky grows → More collabs for you → You earn more.
Other platforms monetize your followers. Rocky monetizes your authenticity. You don't have to build an audience to be valuable here. You already are.
We're building the world where ordinary people — not celebrities, not influencers, not gatekeepers — are the most valuable voice in the room.
Every post you share, every honest take you give, every piece of content you create — it all feeds into a system that's proving something radical: real people are more creative, more persuasive, and more valuable than the industry gives them credit for.
