ADVANCED DECOMPRESSION

Diving deeper is a dream many of us share, and to truly enjoy it, the secret lies in swapping improvisation for solid preparation. In our RAID Advanced Decompression course, we accompany you so that you feel at ease while discovering the magic of 50 meters.
In this second level of decompression diving, we adapt to you: we will perfect your technique and configuration, whether using a twinset or sidemount. You will learn to naturally manage two different gas cylinders for your decompression stops (Nx50 and O2 or Nx80), gaining both well-being and safety.
You decide whether you prefer to take the course using Air as your back gas (Advanced Decompression) or using Trimix (Trimix Decompression). Our priority is for you to always maintain a clear mind, with an Equivalent Narcotic Depth of 30 meters, so you don’t miss a single detail of your surroundings.

Prerequisites

    • Be at least 18 years old.

    • Be certified as RAID Master Rescue (or equivalent).

    • Be certified in RAID Sidemount or RAID Twinset (or equivalent).

    • Be certified in RAID Decompression (or equivalent).

    • Be certified (and active) in RAID First Aid.

    • Be certified (and active) in RAID Oxygen Administration.

    • Have at least 50 logged diving hours, or 75 open circuit dives.

      • Of these, at least 10 must have been between 25-40 meters.

    • Valid Medical Statement.

    • Valid accident insurance (covering dives up to 50 meters with decompression).

Course Schedule

The course takes place over a total of 4 days; a first day to configure equipment, the stage cylinder workshop, dive planning with 2 deco gases, and land drills. This is followed by 3 intense days, where dives are carried out until the maximum depth is reached.

Day 1 (6 hours)

  • Practice 1: Stage Cylinder 2 Configuration Workshop
  • Theory 1: Dive Planning
  • Practice 2: Confined Water Dive
  • Practice 3: Confined Water Dive

Day 2 (6 hours)

  • Dive 1: Descent to 30 m (Simulated 15 min Deco)
  • Dive 2: Descent to 35 m (Simulated 15 min Deco)

Day 3 (8 hours)

  • Dive 3: Descent to 40 m (Real Deco)

Day 4 (8 hours)

  • Dive 4: Descent to 45 m (Real Deco)

What’s next after this course?

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be able to dive with your buddy to a depth of 50 meters, using air or trimix as a bottom gas (depending on the certification) and using 2 decompression mixes up to 100%.
