EPISUITE41 (EPI Suite 4.1) is a Windows-based software package developed by SRC, Inc. (Syracuse Research Corporation), in collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, to estimate key physicochemical properties and environmental fate parameters for organic chemicals from molecular structure. It integrates validated QSAR and fragment-constant models to predict endpoints such as octanol–water partition coefficient (KOWWIN), water solubility (WSKOWWIN), vapor pressure and melting/boiling point (MPBPWIN), Henry’s law constant (HENRYWIN), atmospheric oxidation potential (AOPWIN), biodegradation (BIOWIN), hydrolysis (HYDROWIN), bioconcentration and bioaccumulation (BCFBAF), soil adsorption (PCKOCWIN), removal in sewage treatment (STPWIN), and multimedia partitioning via a Level III fugacity model. Users can enter chemicals by name, CAS Registry Number, or SMILES and run single or batch calculations to support screening, risk assessment, and product stewardship workflows. EPI Suite is most reliable for neutral, organic molecules; results for inorganics, organometallics, salts, and highly ionized substances may fall outside the models’ applicability domains. The software is distributed at no cost and includes documentation to help interpret model assumptions and limitations.
