Objectives

To provide disaster recovery support to the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) following the damages caused by Hurricane Sally.

Solutions

Assistance to Applicants:

  • Assisted 102 applicants in processing requests for reimbursement and navigating FEMA’s Grants Portal.
  • Worked directly with applicants from initial project formulation through closeout, engaging with FEMA as needed.

Project Management:

  • Managed 730 projects currently processing through FEMA’s Grants Portal, with 696 projects obligated, totaling over $199 million.
  • Processed requests for reimbursement totaling over $180 million on 696 projects, with $139 million fully approved and released to applicants.
  • Submitted 171 projects for closeout with obligations totaling $116 million.

Remote Operations:

  • Provided services to FDEM remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, overcoming challenges posed by safety protocols.
  • Utilized expertise to ensure progress on FDEM’s projects was not hindered, even without physical participation in FEMA site inspections.
