DCMC embraces a philosophy of continual preparedness to ease the response and recovery process when disaster strikes. DCMC applies these principles to both the short- and long-term preparedness services we provide to our clients.
Planning
DCMC develops and updates emergency plans, offering clients support in Business Continuity, Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP), Emergency Operations Planning (EOP), and Hazard Mitigation planning.
Organize & Equip
DCMC staff ensure that client organizations have the assets necessary to respond to and recover from an event by identifying methods to strengthen their ability to sustain themselves during future disasters.
Training
DCMC works with organizations to prepare staff for their respective roles and responsibilities during a disaster. We regularly conduct training in Policy, Preparedness, Recovery, and Grant Management for clients across the U.S., ensuring staff remain consistently up to date.
Exercise
DCMC partners with clients to validate organizational training through the development and delivery of tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises under current HSEEP guidelines. This process highlights areas requiring further preparation and reinforces best practices for all relevant stakeholders.
Evaluate & Improve
DCMC continuously works with clients to identify accomplishments and areas for improvement following an exercise or real-world event—thus beginning the preparedness cycle anew. A recent example of this practice includes DCMC’s assistance to the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) in conducting a statewide After Action Review of its response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
