DESC is the leading private organization working to end homelessness in Seattle.

In addition to survival shelters and supportive housing, DESC offers housing-first programs including 1811 Eastlake, probably the most thoroughly studied housing-first program in the nation. Housing-first recognizes that housing is not the end-point of sobriety, or the reward for getting your life together: it’s the starting point. It works.

DayBack has donated 1% of product revenue to DESC. Seattle is our home, and the solutions to homelessness are known and working. If you’re in Seattle and work in tech, consider bringing the 1% pledge to your company.

DayBack is a co-founder of Pause, an unconference, think-tank, and art-project for software developers and others designing business systems. Pause creates experiences that bring people together to try something new.
