Have been visiting Jeanette for psychotherapy services since end of year last year, while my improvements have been gradual since my issues have been long-standing (prior to visiting Jeanette, I’ve visited multiple psychologists for multiple years but have seen little improvements), but I believe this is one of the ways that healing shows up i.e. not grand, rapid or rushed.
Healing looks like small decisions that we make each day, recognising thinking patterns that no longer serve us and speaking gently to ourselves (like how we demonstrate empathy to the others), picking ourselves up at times of setbacks, and all these happens gradually and leads to improvements over time.
What stood out to me most about Jeanette is her ability to show deep empathy and kindness toward her clients. There were times when I felt I shouldn’t react or behave a certain way, but she reassured me that it was okay and understandable to feel that way. That was both eye-opening and comforting for me. Over time, I was able to pick up her patterns and habits, and extend the same empathy and gentleness toward myself.
Also, Jeanette was able to share her vulnerable moments sometimes, which encourages me and helps me to understand that she’s a human being just like me, and it’s healthy to experience a spectrum of emotions, not just the pleasant ones. A blink of an eye and a year has flown by. I remembered first coming into therapy like a hedgehog with its sharp quills, all pointed outwards; lost, fearful and highly defensive against the world out there.
But over time, you’ve shown and taught me how to find my way back to emotional safety again. You’ve guided me into spaces of my being that I haven’t previously understood. And you’ve helped me to unlearn that I was too much, and I am actually enough all along.
My journey this one year in therapy felt like an expedition into my inner world and re-discovering who I truly am deep down inside of me. My journey with you through counselling is the most profound and transformative experience I’ve ever had. From the cozy confines of meeting rooms, you helped me explore the universe within me. We began with preparation, like adventurers setting out into the unknown, to make sure I had the mental fitness and safety measures before exploring uncharted emotional landscapes. I am so thankful to have met Jeannette as my first therapist. I’ve read online that it is often hard to find the right therapist from the get-go but I could click with Jeannette since our very first session! No. Clinical hypnotherapy is not stage hypnosis.
You remain aware, in control, and actively involved throughout the process. You can speak, pause, open your eyes, or stop at any point. The work is collaborative, gentle, and paced with safety in mind.

For first-time clients, I recommend scheduling a 90-minute psychotherapy/counselling session. This gives us more space to understand your needs, cover meaningful ground, and create a strong foundation for your journey.

Some clients come for a focused single session or a few sessions around a specific concern. Others continue for short-term support over a few weeks or months. Some choose mid-term or longer-term work when exploring deeper emotional patterns, trauma imprints, relationships, identity, or sustained inner change.
Sessions often begin weekly to build safety, trust, continuity, and momentum. Over time, this may shift into bi-weekly or maintenance sessions, depending on your needs, capacity, and stage of the work.

Yes. For clients who have completed at least one initial session and would like more consistency, continuity, and depth, 6-session and 10-session pathways are available at a package rate.
A single session can be a focused starting point for clarity, support, or experiencing the therapeutic space before deciding what feels right for you.
Session pathways are discussed collaboratively based on your needs, readiness, and therapeutic goals. Therapy can also pause, continue, or shift in rhythm depending on your needs, readiness, and season of life.

Chill Therapy may not be the right fit if you are in an acute crisis, require immediate medical or psychiatric intervention, or need urgent risk management. In these situations, crisis services, a hospital, or a psychiatrist may be more appropriate.
This approach may also not be the best fit if you are looking solely for quick symptom relief, direct advice, or a highly prescriptive, problem-solving approach.
Chill Therapy may be better suited for those who are open to reflective, collaborative, and depth-oriented work at a pace that honours safety, readiness, and integration.
