Chill By Nette stands for “Chill by Jeannette”. “Chill’ encapsulates the essence of being, enjoyment, and the art of slowing down, all of which are essential components of well-being. It is a new way of being, where soul leads, and everyday moments feel a little more magical. This space is about more than just about relaxation; it’s about reconnecting with yourself and attuning to your inner wisdom.

Our History

Chill By Nette was founded in May 2021 as a milestone in my own recovery journey. It was originally launched as a wellness podcast channel to share my recovery journey, as well as lessons gained along the way.

My goal was, and still is, to provide support, guidance and resources to facilitate the optimal environment for those navigating their own healing and Self-discovery journeys, reminding them that they are not alone.

Chill By Nette: Health & Wellness Podcast is created for those who are passionate about their personal development, health and well-being. It is a platform for you to come chill by Nette’s personal stories and weekly tips in becoming a better version of ourselves and to live a better present. No doubt, they will be of a great companion during one of your solo morning coffee runs, or stay-home rainy days.

[But First, Let’s Chill] is the tagline of the podcast.

The idea of “chill” here is to create space to re-charge & relax often. As the tagline suggests, it is shouting out to encourage more to put their well-being first. Prioritising our mental, physical and emotional health is the foundation towards enabling ourselves to better support our loved ones and live a more fulfilling life!

Each series of Chill By Nette Podcast documents a “New Beginning” in Nette’s own personal journey of growth and personal development. It serves to spread genuine and authentic lessons learnt through unique personal life encounters, combined with digestible research, aiming to value-add to your own wellness journey.

A Milestone in My Own Healing Journey

In the start of 2020, I went through one of the most challenging times of my life. A physical skin condition which was incurable, and also very unbearable, forced me to step away from my corporate career. And that shook the very core of my identity. I had built so much of my self-worth around image, perfection and external validation. As someone who identified as a “skin perfectionist”, the condition stripped away the illusion of control I clung to. I felt raw, exposed, as though I had lost something that was deeply intertwined with my sense of Self. It left me disconnected from life and I struggled so much with my self-worth and confidence. I started questioning:

Who am I?

In my isolation, I struggled with shame and a deep sense of loss. I withdrew from those closest to me, feeling trapped in what seemed like an emotional void.

It was a strange, in-between space. There was this deep void, emptiness that was hard to describe. It was filled with heavy existential questions, yet also interspersed with moments of peace. Looking back, that in-between space was the beginning of my healing journey.

This solitude became the fertile ground for a inward journey of Self-discovery. In that void, I finally had space to start meaningful projects I dreamt of—like launching Chill By Nette (a podcast born in 2021, out of my own healing and curiosity about wellness) It became a way to make sense of what I was going through, and a pursuit of connection in a time I felt most disconnected and vulnerable. What once felt like emptiness slowly revealed itself as a quiet, powerful catalyst for transformation.

Through my journey, I began to understand that we are so much more than the labels, opinions, and societal roles we carry—we are ever-evolving beings, shaped not only by our experiences but also by the depth of our inner worlds.

Often in the uncomfortable moments, I found myself reclaiming parts of me I didn’t know I had lost. It was only in hindsight that I could connect the dots, to see that this journey has been guiding me back to something deeply familiar yet long buried: my unconditioned, most authentic Self—the essence within that is already whole, not the version shaped by societal roles and perfectionism. It was filled with wonder, curiosity, love, beauty and courage.

Self-Discovery

Some may call this an ‘awakening’ (a term I stumbled upon during my ‘self-help book’ phase)—an experience, in which we come to know ourselves beyond the confines of the ego, attachments, and the external identities or roles we take on in life. I call this the journey of ‘Self-discovery’, because it feels like a gentler way to name the experience without the baggage that some of those popular terms carry.

It wasn’t a singular, defining moment, nor was it glamorous.

Instead, it unfolded in cycles, each bringing me back to the same lessons, but with a deeper understanding each time. The journey was marked by struggles, loss, and confusion. And once it began, it became evident that this journey is not a one-time transformation. It is likely a continuous, ever-evolving process.

For me, my healing journey and self-discovery have always gone hand in hand, and are essentially two sides of the same coin. Each time I heal a layer of disconnection, I come to know myself more deeply. And as the connection with my authentic Self deepened, it felt like my internal bandwidth or capacity expanded. I had more space inside—space to feel, to see clearly, to choose, to hold more life.

This journey was also an entry point into an energetic state of being that felt more alive. I began to access moments of clarity, empowerment and joy I never thought were available to me. Life began to feel more spacious, than constrained. There was less resistance. I could do more with less effort. Opportunities flowed in more naturally. What had once felt impossible started to feel natural. It was a magical feeling. Some call this “inner peace”, I call this a state of “Chill”.

In these states, I also became more attuned to subtle dimensions of experience. I found myself increasingly able to sense my own and others emotions, energetic states & patterns, and intuitively understand things in others that lived beneath the surface. Hard to describe in words, but it was as if the deeper I went into myself, the more I could perceive and receive from the world around me.

My Therapeutic Journey

This journey wasn’t about eliminating discomfort, triggers or pain. I still find myself in traces of old energetic, emotional and mental patterns that once shaped how I moved through the world. 

My own therapeutic journey played big part in helping me unravel the unconscious emotional, mental and energetic patterns that had been quietly weighing me down. Over time, I began to see that these challenges weren’t obstacles—they were the exact conditions I needed at each stage of my growth. Each pattern, each struggle, each difficult emotional state, and painful experience was a part of the path—an invitation to meet myself more deeply.

I was fortunate to find a therapist who viewed therapy not just as a service, but as a genuine, healing relationship. In her safe, and compassionate presence, I was guided to heal and resolve some of my deepest emotional wounds, cultivate self-acceptance, and reconnect with my inner wisdom and strengths. This allowed me to release the energetic blockages and integrate layers that had kept me disconnected from my authentic Self.

Today, as a transpersonal psychotherapist & hypnotherapist, I support individuals who are moving through emotional struggles, mental health challenges or moments of deep transition and loss—by guiding them toward a deeper connection with themselves.

My work, is grounded in a genuine love and wonder for the human experience, in all its complexities, and a deep respect for each person’s unique path. One of the unexpected gifts of my own journey has been discovering how much meaning, love and aliveness I feel in walking alongside my clients as they reconnect with themselves. Guiding them as they learn to trust their inner wisdom, awaken their natural gifts, and live in greater alignment with what feels true for them — to me, is truly one of life’s greatest blessings.
