U.S Postal Service Institutionalizes Election Interference with New Mail-in-Ballot Division

US election officials will be relying upon the US Postal Service (USPS) as they are given the responsibility of handling absentee ballots, which should cause anyone worried about the integrity of elections to be very concerned as radicals are moving into board positions of the USPS.

“The more our elections rely on the Postal Service, the more interference we can expect,” Chuck Devore wrote for The Federalist, seeing problems ahead for voters if the USPS is allowed this power.

Supposedly to address some of these concerns, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) announced on July 28 that it was creating the Election and Government Mail Services division. Adrienne E. Marshall, a USPS veteran, was named as the division’s first director, with Marc Elias, the Democrat’s election lawyer and longtime proponent of elections by mail, tweeting out his approval.

Many people ask where the government oversight is for such a thing, especially those who understand the nefarious leftist Marc Elias, the radical fighter behind the 2020 ballot scheme that destroyed all trust in our elections. Refresher:

Marc Elias, Hillary Clinton campaign’s top lawyer, turns tables on Durham to air Democratic grievances about 2016 election

Elias’ support alone should send shivers down the spines of liberty-loving Americans. What the corrupt Elias is happy about is that more power is being taken away from the people to regulate elections, moving elections into the hands of the administrative state to control.

The USPS is creating a division to handle election mail issues as part of an effort to ensure the swift and secure delivery of ballots for the 2022 midterm election, according to US Postal officials.

“The idea behind the creation of the Election and Government Mail Services is to have a permanent division dedicated to dealing with election matters, instead of handling issues one at a time as in the past,” The AP reported in late July.

Adrienne Marshall, executive director of the division, told the outlet that the services will oversee “election mail strike teams” in every local and district community to address any problems that might arise.

Devore questions:

“Starbucks recently asked the National Labor Relations Board to suspend all pending and ongoing votes to unionize at its U.S. stores due to concerns stemming from mail-in ballots.

The franchise’s objections once again raise questions about the credibility of election systems that rely on mail-in ballots,” he reported.

“As with coffee companies, how much more with the American electoral process? With hundreds of millions of dollars of campaign material and increasing numbers of ballots in the mail, postal efficiency and honesty are becoming increasingly vital to free and fair elections.

The rationale for this new division is that the growing use of mail-in ballots requires extra attention to ensure the greater volume of mailed ballots can be handled by an increasingly overburdened USPS,” Devore wrote.

Devore went on:

“Elections conducted by mail have been a longtime goal of Elias and others since long before public health fears over in-person voting during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Most European nations found mail-in ballots to be susceptible to fraud and limited their use. France recently had the results of their election using paper ballots the very night of the election. Remember when the U.S. was the same?

Joe Biden nominated three people to fill vacancies on the nine-member USPS Board of Governors. The board determines the postmaster general, who remains, for now, Louis DeJoy.

Radical leftists have targeted and threatened DeJoy for years since before the 2020 election, wanting to unseat him from his position.

Devore goes on:

“Biden’s nominees include the former chief counsel for the American Postal Workers Union and the head of the National Vote at Home Institute, a non-profit that pushes for nationwide mail-in voting. In addition, some 80 Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives sent a letter to Biden urging action on the board of governor nominees to speed DeJoy’s ouster.

Should the voting public be concerned about the USPS paying closer attention to mail-in ballots? It depends on the trust you place in federal institutions and their employees.”

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is the oldest federal law enforcement branch, which explains why it was the US Postal service that arrested Steve Bannon. The authoritarian left loves the idea of weaponizing government institutions to attack their political opponents.

When a Coast Guard vessel sped toward a yacht with Stephen Bannon on board Thursday morning, it carried the gun-toting members of the Post Office’s investigator unit.

The arrest of the president’s former chief strategist on fraud allegations was news enough. But many learned from news reports that their friendly neighborhood mail carrier is backed by a centuries-old investigative arm that handles cases of child exploitation, cybercrime, drug trafficking and financial crimes. Knowing the motivations, Democrats have to weaponize these institutions; elections may not be accessible for much longer if they are allowed this power.

Regarding election-related mail, both campaign material and ballots, the Postal Inspection Service says they monitor “political and election mail as it moves through the postal network to prevent, identify and resolve any issues that might interfere with its secure and timely delivery.” All of which sounds great in theory, but what happens if the mail doesn’t get through?

Federal Appeals Court Steps into PA Election Count, Overrules State Courts

Federal appeals court says undated Pa. mail ballots should be counted, a decision that breaks with state courts and could have immediate impact. So reads the headline. Earlier I reported of the problems with certain ballots unable to be read by machine.

Now we learn that the Federal courts steps into the midst of the counting of ballots with a ruling.

The ruling could open a new fight immediately, as David McCormick and Mehmet Oz head toward a recount.

Pennsylvania mail ballots submitted without a date on the envelope last year should be counted, a federal appeals court said Friday, a ruling that could mean thousands more votes get counted in elections moving forward — starting with this past Tuesday’s primary.

The ruling will also almost certainly reignite the smoldering political fight over undated mail ballots; create new questions and pressure for county elections officials as they continue to count votes from this week’s primary; and create another potential opening for county-by-county legal challenges as the Senate Republican primary heads toward a likely recount.

The full extent of the decision’s impact is unclear, because the court issued a judgment and said an opinion would come later. But based on the order, lawyers from both parties said, the path was suddenly cleared for counties to count the undated mail ballots they had been preparing to reject this election

…But throwing out those votes violates the federal Civil Rights Act, the ACLU argued, because the date isn’t actually used in determining the legitimacy of a vote.

The handwritten dates are required even though mail-in ballots are usually postmarked and routinely stamped when received by county elections offices.

The trailing candidate, Zac Cohen, lost a state lawsuit over the signature requirement earlier this year and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court declined to take the appeal.

Five voters whose ballots were thrown out in that election, represented by the American Civil Liberties Union, then filed a federal lawsuit. They lost at the district court level before the appeals judges overturned that decision on Friday.

Department of State spokeswoman Grace Griffaton said Friday the Pennsylvania elections agency planned to canvass counties to determine how many of those ballots inside envelopes without signatures have been tossed, and officials plan to issue fresh guidance based on the ruling. Source

Then what? Meanwhile there are tens of thousands of mail ballots yet to be counted though as I write this I cannot find any source as to the exact number. And the chain of custody?

Here is an overview of the extent of the ballot issue prior to the election.

Returning to our original problem that Bunker previously posted regarding Lancaster County PA:

PA 21,000 Mail Ballots to be ‘Hand Marked’ Due to Printing Error

A novel approach to correct this was to ask on the local Lancaster TV station for volunteers to come down and replace the ballots unreadable with new marked ballots. The chain of custody was meager as best after hours. There certain was no hurry in completing the process. Ballots were processed from 9 am to 6 pm and last I heard were completed for this county on Saturday. What happened to ballots the other hours is unknown and no one has asked.

The glitch will force election workers to hand-mark fresh ballots, a process expected to take several days. Officials in the county, the state’s sixth most populous, pledged that all the ballots will be counted eventually. But by whom? How about the local candidates where a few votes can make all the difference.

Here is how Lancaster is going.

Just a refresher: PA had Dominion last election when there were “machine cliches” – Wander over to the link below for the Pennsylvania details and more.

Mentioned during a Fox News interview by host Maria Bartiromo were Nadeam Elshami, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s former chief of staff who last year became a lobbyist for Dominion, and Richard Blum, California Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s husband, who she said is a significant shareholder in the company.

…….

The company, which has about a third of the voting machine market, according to Bloomberg, has faced scrutiny in the past couple of days with voting problems reported in parts of Michigan and Georgia, although the company and local officials have discounted the idea that the software was to blame.

Dominion has customers in 28 states and Puerto Rico, including all of the battleground states where Trump and his allies are contesting and pinning their hopes on recounts after media outlets called the presidential race for Biden.

cut….(Again, this is PA) – Last election:

Chris Varney, Judge of Elections says they were initially under the impression that it was a problem with all ballots, but then determined it was only a problem with Republican ballots. Varney says he was unaware of which specific precincts were dealing with the same issue, but that this same issue was happening in numerous locations across Fayette County.

The solution provided by Fayette County officials was to collect ballots from voters and store them in the back of voting machines — but not to scan any of them to ensure the process was handled in a fair manner.

We’ve heard different variations of this story ever since November 3, 2020, when voting machines seemed to switch votes from Republicans to Democrats. At the heart of the scandal during the big election were Dominion Voting Machines. Certainly they’re not at the heart of this particular voter “challenges” story as well, right?

Kamala Harris Absurdly Says It’s “Almost Impossible” For Rural Americans To Photocopy Their ID

“Rural Americans avoid photography in general. They’re frightened the magic camera box will steal their soul.” That apparently is the nub of it. So now Harris is worried about rural voters?

The expression “dumb as rocks” gives rocks a bad name as Harris gives her latest interview. Here is Biden’s best insurance against being removed from office opining on rural voters. Gee, I never knew she cares do much about rural voters. Did you?

How does she think millions get their welfare every month? They manage to come up with ALL the ID requirements for that somehow. No problem.

For some reason I don’t think Kamala has in mind helping out these voters. But then again, black city folks started to get offended that there was an implication that they were too dumb to figure out how to get an I.D. And it was getting absurd. So this is the latest. Rural voters. As if she cared.

Dominion Voting System strikes Luzerne County – second PA Primary county to fall victim

Dominion Voting Systems, which claims to work with 2000 voting jurisdictions including nine of the 20 largest counties in the nation had “problems” again in this past Tuesday’s primary election in Pennsylvania. Yesterday I reported on Fayette County. Today, Luzerne county.  How extensive is Dominion involved in our elections?

Founded in 2002 in Toronto, Canada, Dominion Voting Systems sells electronic voting hardware and software, including voting machines and tabulators, to municipalities and other organizations across North America. As of September 2019, Dominion voting machines are used in more than 2,000 jurisdictions in 33 states and Puerto Rico.

As they say:

Voting Machines in Fayette County PA Were Not Counting GOP Votes – County Uses Dominion Voting Machines UPDATE

Most voters in Fayette County will vote using a hand-marked paper ballot. Some voters will use the Dominion Imagecast X to mark their ballot. All voters will use the ImageCast Precinct Scanner to cast their completed ballot.

No word from Dominion or anyone else about how this could have happened again, or why it seems to only be targeting Republicans again.

Let’s take a look more closely at what happened in Luzerne county.

Dominion Responds After Pennsylvania Election Officials Report ‘Coding Error’ With Voting Machines

Voters report issues in Luzerne County

Election officials in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, reported issues with voting equipment at polling places on Tuesday, prompting a response from Dominion Voting Systems saying that there was a ballot screen error regarding the viewing screen’s header.
….

Luzerne County Director of Elections Bob Morgan told local media that coding on the Dominion Voting Systems machines triggered the problem.

According to some voters and officials, speaking to WNEP, when Republican voters approach the machine to vote, the introduction page says, “Official Democratic Ballot.” A polling place in Kingston Township confirmed to the news outlet that it was forced to pause voting on Tuesday due to the issue.

….

Vough added to the paper he would suggest that Luzerne County end its contract with Dominion during the next council meeting.

Morgan, meanwhile, explained to PAHomepage that “there is no evidence of any of this problem on the mail-in ballots which were produced from that file” and added that the county is “still working with Dominion to get an explanation as to how this coding error occurred. They were as surprised about it as we were.”

When asked if there was any way it was the fault of the county, Morgan said, “No.”

“We’re doing signs, we’ve contacted each of the judges of elections. We’ve asked them to place a sign at their voting place. We’re giving Republican voters the opportunity to vote by provisional or emergency ballot if they choose.”

More Dominion shenanigans? How can a company charged with carrying out the election process be so careless and not do a trial run? After all of the accusations and charges they decide not to clean up their act? Are we to expect that errors such as these are “to be expected?” Is this to get us to the point that this is going to happen and standard practice and nothing to see. Really? You will read little about Dominion. They have threatened most of the media into silence. Still the questions remain.

Back to the post:

At first, everyone was under the impression that there was a problem with the barcodes on all ballots, but it turns out only Republican ballots are being rejected this past Tuesday’s primary.

How strange.

Gateway Pundit has been about the only game in town to find out anything about the November voting fraud audits. Dominion has been threatening everyone and anything and have been filing lawsuits. The Pundit have been covering the various voting audits from this past election in November and there are many and ongoing. The Feds are trying to block them at every turn. Visit them to catch the latest inside story on the audits. They are on it.

Pennsylvania:

Update from CBS Pittsburgh: The Fayette County solicitor said the courts have granted an emergency petition, which means all the ballots that weren’t scanned will be hand-counted by the judge of elections at each individual precinct once the polls close at 8 p.m.

In the meantime, elections officials are collecting the Republican ballots and storing them in the back of the voting machines. (This makes sense don’t you think for insuring and honest and fair election?)

The Liberty Daily:

Now this…
According to the Fayette County government website the county uses Dominion Voting machines. Check out the link to see what an absurd system is being used in certain counties.

Fayette County Voting System

Welcome to the Fayette County voting system page. This page tells you how to vote in person on Election Day in Fayette County.

Most voters in Fayette County will vote using a hand-marked paper ballot. Some voters will use the Dominion Imagecast X to mark their ballot. All voters will use the ImageCast Precinct Scanner to cast their completed ballot.

it wasn’t all of the ballots that were being rejected. A certain type of ballot was being rejected — specifically, only Republican ballots were getting kicked back by the machines. Judge Joe Scalise said he had a rough morning with Republican ballots being rejected — and then he started hearing that it wasn’t just his precinct, but a countywide issue. According to KDKA:

Elections officials in Fayette County are working to solve a problem dealing with voting machines not accepting ballots. Numerous voters have contacted KDKA, reporting that their Republican ballots were not accepted.

The Fayette County Bureau of Elections has confirmed that precincts across the county are having issues with machines not scanning bar codes on all ballots, for both Republicans and Democrats. Hutchison Elementary School, the polling location for South Union Township’s 3rd voting district, was among those having issues on Tuesday morning.

At the heart of the scandal during the big election was Dominion Voting Machines. Certainly they’re not at the heart of this particular voter “challenges” story as well, right? According to the Fayette County Voting Portal:

Most voters in Fayette County will vote using a hand-marked paper ballot. Some voters will use the Dominion Imagecast X to mark their ballot. All voters will use the ImageCast Precinct Scanner to cast their completed ballot.

No word from Dominion or anyone else about how this could have happened again, or why it seems to only be targeting Republicans again. During the 2020 presidential election, hundreds of statistical anomalies accompanied over a thousand affidavits and several videos that depicted rampant, widespread voter fraud. As we broke on NOQ Report on November 6, 2020, Dominion seems to be at the center of many of these instances.

The Fayette County District Attorney is opening an investigation into ballot issues from Tuesday’s primary; KDKA’s Amy Wadas reports.

Why not hand count all the ballots? All the time? Unless there is an audit the assumption is that the machine has counted the ballots correctly. More on the election after the official count comes out on Friday. They are still counting ballots last I checked. By the way, Pennsylvania has drop boxes as well. What possibly could go wrong. The military ballots are still out there wandering around and have a couple more weeks to check in.

San Fransisco loses third Walgreens due to ‘rampant shoplifting’

Lost in the election conversation is a discussion of what liberalism does to the quality of life for the regular Joe and Jane trying to live in these decaying cities. The stores that locals depend on disappear. One would think it would be possible for city dwellers to connect the dots and think about changing the governance of their cities. But no, they continue to vote headlong into continued democrat leadership that only brings them more pain and suffering.

We are focused on the upcoming presidential race. But is is the thousands of other choices for candidates that we have when we get to the polls. State and Local candidates. The candidates that will really effect our living on a day to day basis. Whether it is the local school boards, council men and women, mayors – these are the people that will wind up controlling planning and zoning, Judges who will decide what to do with our criminals.

Not to be forgotten often are the “questions” on the ballots. One only needs to look at States such as California to have a look at what “proposition” questions have done to their fair State.

There can be no better example in what progressivism does to a city than San Fransisco:

The effects of allowing chaos to prevail in liberal run cities across America might not be obvious to liberals now, but when their cities empty out completely, it’s going to become crystal clear.

Such is the case in San Francisco, where the city’s new normal of shoplifting and chaos has driven another Walgreens pharmacy out of the city.

The move to close the Walgreens at Van Ness and Eddy came after “months of seeing its shelves repeatedly cleaned out by brazen shoplifters”, according to the SF Chronicle. The location served “many older people” who lived in the area.

One customer told the paper: “All of us knew it was coming. Whenever we go in there, they always have problems with shoplifters.”

When the Chronicle went to visit the store, they noticed “aisle after aisle of near empty shelves” and said that beauty products seemed to be a favored target. While the Chronicle was in the store, a man with a mask on walked in, emptied two shelves into a bag and walked out the door.

Massive election fraud is on its way – watch out for State Secretaries

Soros has been at work getting little known State office’s filled with his sycophants. We hear a lot about District Attorney offices being filled with left wing radicals. But it is the Secretaries of State that control how voting takes place and certifies elections. Here is why we need to worry.

Add this to the mix.

“The judge’s stay today is simply a recognition that the multitude of issues surrounding Pennsylvania’s dangerous voting system—including ballot harvesting and double voting—touch both federal and state constitutional issues. The federal court is simply going to reserve its judgment on this in the hopes that the state court will resolve these serious issues and guarantee that every Pennsylvanian has their vote counted—once,” Clark added.

The real deal are the State Secretary offices. Think it doesn’t matter? Look what happened with having Mark Ritchie Secretary of State in Minnesota and the Al Franken win. Who is Mark Ritchie?

Ritchie in the 1990s had been a member of the now-defunct socialist New Party.[20] Moreover, he has ideological ties to the Communist Party USA and has been described by communist Tim Wheeler as a “friend” of the Party.

It gave us Obamacare with the 60th vote.

Minnesota’s November election for U.S. Senate, Republican incumbent Norm Coleman finished 725 votes ahead of Democratic challenger Al Franken; the thin margin of victory, however, triggered an automatic recount. With Mark Ritchie presiding over the recount process during the ensuing weeks, Coleman’s lead gradually dwindled due to what journalist Matthew Vadum describes as a long series of “appalling irregularities” that invariably benefited Franken.

As USA Today reported at the time: “The political battle for control of the federal government has opened up a new front: the obscure but vital state offices that determine who votes and how those votes are counted.”[11]

The Secretary of State Project (SoSP) was established in July 2006 as an independent “527” organization devoted to helping Democrats get elected to the office of secretary-of-state in selected swing, or battleground, states.

One of the principal duties of the secretary of state is to serve as the chief election officer who certifies candidates as well as election results in his or her state.[2] The holder of this office, then, can potentially play a key role in determining the winner of a close election. Funding included George Soros. Other players were Mark Ritchie.

To establish “election protection” against similar disappointments in subsequent political races, SoSP in 2006 targeted its funding efforts on the secretary-of-state races in seven swing states: Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, and Ohio.[10]

Democrats emerged victorious in five of those seven elections, all except Colorado and Michigan. Politico.com would later characterize SoSP as “an administrative firewall” designed, “in anticipation of a photo-finish presidential election,” to protect Democrats’ “electoral interests in … the most important battleground states.”[12]

In 2008, SoSP supported Democratic secretary-of-state candidates in Missouri, Montana, Oregon and West Virginia; all four Democrats won. These results represented yet another high return on a relatively small financial investment for SoSP.

Brunner went on to make her influence felt in several significant ways two years later, during the 2008 election cycle:

  • She ruled that Ohio residents should be permitted, during the designated early-voting period extending from late September to early October, to register and vote on the very same day.[15]
  • In a separate matter, Brunner sought to effectively invalidate many of the approximately one million absentee-ballot applications that Republican presidential candidate John McCain’s campaign had issued. Each of those forms had been printed with a checkbox next to a statement affirming that the voter was a qualified elector; Brunner maintained that if an applicant failed to check the box—even if he or she signed the form—the application could be rejected. But Republicans noted that state law did not require the box to be checked as long as the voter signed the ballot. The Ohio Supreme Court subsequently overturned Brunner’s directive on grounds that it served “no vital purpose or public interest.”[16]
  • In October 2008, Brunner refused to comply with county election-board requests that she turn over approximately 200,000 voter-registration forms in which the name did not match the driver’s license or Social Security number.[17]

…….snip

Another early beneficiary of SoSP support was Democrat Mark Ritchie, who, with SoSP help in 2006, defeated a two-term incumbent Republican in the race for Minnesota secretary of state. Ritchie acknowledged his debt to SoSP when he said, “I want to thank the Secretary of State Project and its thousands of grass-roots donors for helping to push my campaign over the top.”[18] Other contributors to Ritchie’s campaign included Heather BoothDrummond Pike, Deborah Rappaport (wife of venture capitalist Andrew Rappaport), and George Soros.

A former community organizer with close ties to ACORN,[19] Ritchie in the 1990s had been a member of the now-defunct socialist New Party.[20] Moreover, he has ideological ties to the Communist Party USA and has been described by communist Tim Wheeler as a “friend” of the Party.[21]

Detroit Absentee Ballot Chaos: ‘So Inaccurate We Can’t Even Attempt to Make Right’

Wayne County, Michigan, leaders want the Secretary of State to intervene after there was chaos while counting absentee ballots on primary election night.

The Detroit News reported:

Recorded ballot counts in 72% of Detroit’s absentee voting precincts didn’t match the number of ballots cast, spurring officials in Michigan’s largest county to ask the state to investigate ahead of a pivotal presidential election.

Without an explanation from Detroit election workers for the mismatches, the Wayne County Board of Canvassers requested this week for Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s office to examine the “training and processes” used in Detroit’s Aug. 4 primary, which one official described as a “perfect storm” of challenges. The board is charged with certifying election results.

When I lived in Florida it was possible to set up having one’s ballot sent to your home a good time before the election date. I moved and often wondered what happened to my ballot.

Florida registers voters at the time one gets one driver’s license.

I selected GOP. When I received my registration I was listed as independent which meant I was knocked out of the primary.

Now Townhall has this:

Adam Housley, a former correspondent for Fox News, said he received two ballots: one for non-party preference (NPP) and one for the libertarian ticket. What makes the scenario even more troubling? Housley said he has never registered as a libertarian.

In a state with millions of people, a small flub here and there is likely to happen, but it turns out Housley wasn’t the only one who received multiple ballots..

I also got two. When I called the Elections office they said they were getting lots of calls about that. Mine was because I switched parties, but still…

I moved to Texas in 2012 & changed my license but still have a home in CA. I still get mail in ballots to vote in CA. If I wasn’t an honest person I could easily vote in both.

I didn’t get two ballots but my party preference was changed from Republican to No Preference.

My son received 2 also followed by a letter which stated “they” were in error. Received a ballot for my wife who passed away last October. Sent it back….

Over the last 10 years, there has been a massive push to get voters to utilize absentee ballots. This helps ensure people make more informed decisions and vote at their own convenience, but along with that convenience comes risk. There’s no way to verify that the person whose name is on the ballot is the one who actually voted. There’s no way to know that the right person actually received the ballot. And there’s nothing keeping thieves from stealing a ballot out of a person’s mailbox.

All is well in the swamp.
