Great Britain Erupts With Riots Over Immigration

The United Kingdom is experiencing riots across the country. Some claim they are the “far right” groups that are causing the unrest. The situation has raised fears of a civil uprising. It has been decades since such unrest has been demonstrated.

Enough is enough say many Britains.

In looking for a video for the post, there are clearly two points of view. One that Nationalism is evil. The turning over the country to Islamic mobs is not acceptable.  The other is a crack down on speech, and the acceptance of the inevitable. Great Britain will be no longer British.

The Nationalists have their say:

The swamp is unhappy in Great Britain.

Hundreds Of UCLA Students Convert to Islam; Attend Massive Group Prayer to Allah

It’ll be interesting when the kids find out Muslims aren’t too keen on multiple genders, queer identities, dope, alcohol and promiscuous scantily dressed women.

Wait til they find out how they treat women and the death sentence that comes with leaving.

Another comment:

They‘re not “converting”, they’re participating in the group-think of the crowd. They’re desperate to belong. Give them a quick trip to Iran or Afghanistan & they’ll learn quickly their “free-minded” beliefs won’t fly w/Islamists – no rights for women, no gays or trans allowed, no free speech, ….

Treatment of women by the Taliban - Wikipedia

Just before police officers moved in and dismantled defiant pro-terrorism protest encampments at UCLA, students said Muslim prayers as the sun set over the campus.

The pro-terrorism students chanted “Allahu akbar” during the prayer and chanted “Allah is the greatest” of all gods.

From the Tweet:

This is not a university in some Islamic country. This prayer was held at UCLA in California. Perhaps some think this is a harmless prayer, something that we can understand as freedom of religion. And just that is a mistake that could destroy the West.

I note the women have caught on that they are to sit together in the back.

For anyone interested in how the world is viewing the student unrest I will share a couple of reports. The news oozes with the opinion of the U.S. is cracking down on students and against free speech. But it gets even worse.

Meanwhile the world is incensed with Biden’s latest stumble. Biden insults two of our most important allies and friends. Japan and India. Xenophobic he says, this after all the trouble Europe and the U.S. are having over our out of control immigration policies. This was one of the kinder reactions out there in the foreign media. Some are actually calling him senile.

Times of India

Back to our story-

No where is there descriptive discussion of the attacks on Jewish students that caused the crack down finally. It was the violence. Not the banning of Free Speech!

This from the British “The Telegraph.” I expected more from them. This was the before the police were finally called in a day or two later. Yet the headline?

From Germany.. a bit more balanced with comments regarding the Jewish students plight. Yet then launch a couple of women saying how peaceful the whole thing was.

Of course we should expect the regular haters, China and Iran, but it doesn’t stop there. The world is watching.

From India:

The usual suspects.

A comment from abroad:

Between US actions abroad, a former presidents persecution and politicians profiteering from sanctions and weapons sales topped with protecting Israel, the US had damaged it’s own currency and standing more than any country could have dreamed. Worse again the US has united all their enemies together and shown unequivocally what happens when the President isn’t competent. I find it incredible the desperation oozing from the US on every front from Ukraine – Israel – ICJ – UN. All the time sending money abroad as the US sinks economically with a reputation in tatters.

Now we can add his senile remark that has the world ablaze with the arrogance of Biden.

More to be said. The sun is setting on the U.S. if we don’t get adults on to the stage.

The best of the swamp.

Democrats threats of violence, riots and uprisings include ‘Put a bullet in Donald Trump’

Let us not forget that it is the Democrats that have been agitating for the violence against society and Trump in particular. Had one member of the GOP made statements against Obama the media would not have stopped until one or more of these threatening individuals had paid a high price. Here is one for the memory.

A video circulating on social media presents a montage of threats against the United States and President Trump by Democrats and media figures.

“They’re still going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump,” says one.

The video was posted on Twitter by Blaze TV reporter Elijah Schaffer.

A video that splices together clips of prominent Democrats and progressives openly calling for political unrest is now trending online as the nation continues to be gripped by violence and riots in the streets.

In its original post, the Caldron Pool account asks, “how did you think it would end?” insinuating that progressives’ calls for violence have indeed given rise to the violence now playing out in communities across the country such as Portland, Oregon; Kenosha, Wisconsin; and Chicago.

“I will go and take Trump out tonight,” said Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said: “I don’t know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country. Maybe there will be.”

New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo said, “Show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful.”

Former Attorney General Eric Holder said, “When they go low, we kick.”

An MSNBC personality said of Trump, “I’d like to punch him in the face.”

“Make no mistake, if you give power to Joe Biden, the radical left will defund police departments all across America,” Trump said in his speech at the Republican National Convention last week. “They will pass federal legislation to reduce law enforcement nationwide. They will make every city look like Democrat-run Portland, Oregon.”

The Democrats little handiwork. Coming to your home soon.

Other than that, all is well in the swamp.

When you don’t shoot a killer resisting arrest

Seems simple enough to me. Follow the directions of the police. Don’t argue, and most of all don’t fight. Don’t return to your car and look like you are reaching or do reach for something.

For some reason we now expect the police to be psychic as to the intent. That they should offer up their lives or serious injury to themselves so that hopped up crazed individuals can act out.

When did this start? This is a new expectation. It is wrong. None of the men who have been shot recently by police that has caused mayhem throughout the country would have been shot if they had simply followed the police instructions.

Everyone resisted arrest and were in a major struggle.

Want to know how things can go very wrong for our men and women in blue? Remember the rules of the game now. No choke holds. No knees on the back.

Call the social workers next time. I am sure it will go much better.

The Police: Warriors or Peacekeepers?

Good Copping

by Mustang

As a general notion, I think it is healthy when our society examines “the way things are,” and imagines how “things might improve.” Were this not true, then we would probably not have the Food and Drug Administration and still suffer from the poor state of food processing industries in the early 1900s.

On the other hand, not everything about our society is broken or needs fixing. As a case in point, writing for the Wall Street Journal, Karl Marlantes suggests that our problem with police is that they tend to view themselves as warriors, rather than peacekeepers, and see criminals as “the enemy,” rather than as mis-directed citizens. For the present time, I’ll ignore the illogical conclusion that a person who is trying to kill you, or do you harm, isn’t an enemy.

Marlantes argues that police officers who see themselves as warriors incorporate three behaviors that are inappropriate in community policing: (a) choosing a side, (b) dehumanizing the enemy, and (c) reacting rather than thinking when threatened.

Well, what to say?

Norman Rockwell: The Runaway

Police officers do choose sides. They do that when they take their oath of office. They swear to uphold the Constitution and laws of the state and municipality whom they serve. As for dehumanizing citizens and “reacting when threatened,” we should make a few assumptions. We should:

Assume that police departments select the best candidates for police positions, rather than striving to meet affirmative action mandates that gives precedence for employment to people grouped according to skin color, ethnic or religious preferences, or gender. It would be interesting (and helpful) to know, of the officers indicted or fired for egregious behaviors, the percentage having no business wearing a badge to begin with.

It is not likely we will ever know this because municipalities always hide information that places them in a poor light, or which may subject them to high dollar lawsuits.

Presume that police academies and agencies, which undergo recurring formal evaluations for agency certification, adequately train their officers to deal with a myriad of confrontations (understanding that there is no one solution to every conceivable problem), and how to relate to a wide range of individuals, from the drug-induced moron wielding a knife to the obnoxious judge who was pulled over for driving erratically.

Assume that police agencies promote experienced officers to supervise and guide younger, less experienced officers in the performance of their duties.

Assume that since police officers are human beings, they will occasionally make errors in judgment, no matter how well academies and departments train them, and that police errors will continue receiving scrutiny in the press, in the courts, and by citizen review boards.

Mr. Marlantes argues that the “warrior mentality” is emphasized when police departments incorporate combat-style clothing and equipment. He cites “military style vehicles” and weapons used in Ferguson, Missouri. He attributes this to a Pentagon program.

I’m not arguing with his point (with caveat), but this wasn’t a Pentagon program; it was an Obama initiative. On the other hand, the caveat, we do no favors for our communities when criminals show up better armed and better protected than our frontline police officers. In mentioning Ferguson, Mr. Marlantes failed to note that in Michael Brown’s death, the police officer (dressed in normal clothing and armed with a standard sidearm) was fighting for his life with a 300-pound man.

If we are going to have this conversation, it needs to be an honest discussion.

Mr. Marlantes is a former (highly decorated) combat arms officer. I cannot speak to his experiences in the Vietnam War, but I can say that while an infantryman will occasionally “get spooked,” the American infantry emphasizes fire discipline. Combat isn’t for Neanderthals. Success in combat requires men and leaders who can think through the problem, remain calm, and impose their will on a determined enemy.

When Mr. Marlantes suggests that our warriors are trigger-happy, unthinking reactionaries, he unacceptably diminishes our military men and women, their NCOs, and their combat leaders —and he also paints with too broad a brush our thousands of fine police officers, all of whom place their lives on the line every single day, and thousands of whom have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Are our police officers at war with the people they serve? The answer must depend on where they serve. I cannot imagine any Chicago cop who reports for work at the start of watch who realistically thinks that he’ll be able to retire someday. Who in their right mind would want to be a cop in Detroit, Baltimore, Washington, Richmond, Miami, St. Louis, Houston, or any of a dozen or so other American cities?

This is an important conversation to have—and have had in the past. That such a topic has garnered our attention in the past is why we no longer have Texas Rangers extra-judicially hanging horse thieves.

But if we intend to have this conversation, let’s be honest with one another in the discussion. I wasn’t present, but it is possible that the young fellow who died while in police custody in Minneapolis shouldn’t have been placed in dire straits for such an extended period. The truth of what happened will be revealed to us from court proceedings. But in all honesty, the young man was no community hero. For starters, let’s stop creating unwarranted perceptions.

Yes, we do need good policing; we also need good citizenship. If a police officer tells you that he’s placing you into custody, the best possible advice is to submit to his authority. You’ll have your day in court. That’s the time and place to argue, not before. Meanwhile, let’s stop bashing police who probably don’t deserve it.

Valerie Jarrett ‘keeping in touch with Governor’ during Ferguson fiasco

Did Jarrett give Governor Nixon the cease and desist order when it came time for the National Guard to do their job? Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz confirmed that Jarrett received “updates” from Nixon, “promising to stay in close touch” as the situation continued. No big surprise as the puppet master pulls the strings as always. Apparently the word went out not to talk to the Mayor as the Governor refused to talk to him.

“As you know, we’ve been working closely with them for the past few months leading up to this point to make sure that responses to this moment would be appropriate and constructive,” Schultz said.

Jarrett and Attorney General Eric Holder also spoke with civil rights leaders the first night of the protests, continuing their close coordination as the grand jury decision approached. (So THAT explains why there was rioting, arson, looting rampant after the Grand Jury verdict.)

“Valerie spoke to Governor Nixon both last night and this morning, and has been briefing the President on an ongoing basis since last night,” Schultz said, speaking to reporters on Air Force One. “And in each of those conversations with Governor Nixon, Valerie has pledged to stay in close coordination with the Governor in making sure that he’s getting the support he needs from the federal government.”

Schultz refused to say whether or not President Obama spoke on the phone with anyone about the protests sweeping the nation, but revealed that White House staff spoke with mayors across the country to coordinate a proper response.

Thanks, Obama, Jarrett, Schultz, and “civil rights leaders!!” Great job!!
