Just what is “Progressivism?”

by Mustang

The word “progressive” has been so overused in the past thirty years that no one today is quite sure what it means.  In the 18th century Immanuel Kant defined progress as being a movement away from barbarism toward civilization.

Immanuel Kant (Prussian philosopher, 1724-1804)

Immanuel Kant

It included, of course, advances in science, technology, economic development, and social organization.  It evolved from the Industrial Era, a belief that economic inequities impeded social progress.  The argument was adopted almost entirely by Karl Marx and Frederick Engels, two clever men who discovered how easy it was to divide societies for their purposes.

As with many words, “progressivism” has had many meanings.  In the early 20th century, American progressivism began as an intellectual rebellion against Constitutionalism, whereby enumerated powers limit government authority.  No modern progressive respects the Constitution, which has become the crux of socio-political disagreement in the 21st Century.  After Theodore Roosevelt, progressivism became identified with eugenics — the notion that human populations can be improved by excluding inferior groups and promoting people of “superior” quality.  No political party embraced this concept more than American Democrats and German Fascists.  Thankfully, we’ve managed to rid ourselves of the German Fascists; we remain plagued with Democrats, however.

More recently, American Democrats have cloaked their long-held belief of racial superiority within their demand for public policies that guarantee socio-political supremacy.  Claiming to represent the interests of “ordinary people,” modern progressives insist on more government control of nearly every aspect of American lifestyles, including the economy.  The juxtaposition, of course, is that progressives claim to champion the ordinary man while at the same time harboring deep resentment for populists.

Populists are the people who cling to their Bibles and their guns, who deeply resent the progressive elitists because of their haughty assertions that they know what is best for everyone else.  Populists passionately detest progressives because of their overwhelming repudiation of Constitutionalism and their embrace of communism/Marxism.  Mind you, many populists suffered the loss of loved ones and relatives who were combat veterans in wars against communism.

Despite two hundred years of “progress,” our world has not become a better place.  One would think that after two world wars (and numerous lesser-sized conflicts, albeit equally deadly to those who participated in them), Americans might at least have learned a few lessons.  For instance, progressive-minded people might have learned something from the collapse of the Soviet Union; they might have learned something about communism from the millions of innocent dead who were the victims of communism.  But — no.

No sensible person today anxiously embraces the horror of what communism presented to the world — which, I think, is my point.  We today find ourselves confronting a long line of irrational human beings, utterly incapable of knowing, much less understanding the essential elements of enlightened thought.  We must understand this, of course, in the context of their deep commitment to communism, where such things as freedom of speech, association, religion are as abhorrent to them as gulags and firing squads are to ordinary people.  There may be rational progressives, somewhere, but if there are, they have become grossly overshadowed by the supremely ignorant, foolish, and absurd.  Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stands at the head of that line.

But at least now we know the enemy — which is the right word to use.  They are not “opposition,” as in polite discourse.  They are a dangerous enemy, but it is the civilized process of electioneering that must defeat them.  We can, of course, shoot them in self-defense, but we must not deny them their right to have an opinion or express it — no more than they are entitled to refuse populists their Constitutional rights, as established in the Bill of Rights.  But what must change are the people we choose to represent the American point of view in Congress.

First, however, we must know what the American point of view is, and then we must find people capable of articulating it.  The Republican Party no longer measures up to even our lowest expectations.  The Democrats have not embraced American values since 1828.  We must find a different way.

What say you, citizens of Bunkerville?

The Progressives and how they are treating us ‘little people’

I am just sitting back watching the absurdity of how those who judge us with the low sloping foreheads are getting treated during this “pandemic.”

Since my retirement community where I live has a so called Nursing home as part of its continuing care, we are essentially ‘Locked down” in our apartments. Our previously delicious meals are now delivered and placed on our door knobs in the prescribed black boxes.

Amazon Prime is running the Sopranos…. I am into it at about the 20 hour mark. The world and its morality right now seems to share much in common. My cynicism grows. Just explaining where this intrepid blogger is at.  Here we go:

Although Harvard is a tax-exempt, nonprofit university, its $40.9 billion endowment is worth more than the valuation of many large companies, such as AirBnB and Lyft. Its endowment is also worth more than the gross domestic product of some small countries, including Bahrain and Iceland.

More craziness from the “Progressive” democrat leadership. This in the form of education. After all, they can’t give one inch in allowing the public schools possibly to lose one single student.

And that my friends is the best of the swamp I could find today.

Are the signs of “white supremacy, extremism” up in poll of active duty troops true?

“Them and Us.” The Progressives continue to divide us as their hallmark strategy, We would be remiss if we did not keep in mind that targeting the military as those to be fearful of makes sense and is included in festering this division. Fostering division among the ranks another strategy.

Accusations of racism, the military a “bastion of white supremacy” continues the targeted attack on those that protect us. We have seen the fruits if their attacks on our law enforcement agencies.

Our intrepid Mustang gives us this post regarding a disturbing article that appeared in the Military Times 6 February 2020

The latest Military Times Poll of active duty troops found that more than 1 in 3 have seen signs of white supremacist or similarly extremist ideology in the ranks, an increase from last year’s survey.

I do not know how much money the company is making selling newspapers to military personnel and their families.  I also do not know its circulation.  What I do know is that the media group is owned by liberals, who invest in other media enterprises, and that they seem focused on changing (through nefarious means) American culture.

Here’s mine.  This proposition is pure balderdash, underscored by the fact that “Cassie Miller, a research and investigations specialist for the Southern Poverty Law Center, said …

With three decades of military service, let me just say:

Yes, there are people wearing the uniform of our country who harbor racial or ethnic biases.  There are also people who harbor prejudices against women in uniform.  There are people wearing military uniforms who hate their NCOs and officers.  Some even detest calf’s liver.  Here are a few more facts:

  • They are not all white
  • They do not represent one-third of our active duty, reserve, or retired forces.
  • There is no factual basis for the propositions put forth by the writer.
  • Reliance on the Southern Poverty Law Center is shoddy journalism.
  • Publishing a picture of a “white supremist demonstration” that has nothing whatever to do with military personnel is worse than shoddy journalism; it is patently dishonest.

Bias exists in our world.  It always has and it always will.  It is not prevalent in our military services in the same way that it is not rampant in mainstream society.  So, we must now wonder, why is Military Times/Signal Media Group making such claims?  Ah, but we know already.

It’s the same trick they’re playing on the rest of our society.  Change history (by using a picture of a non-military demonstration to make the claim that present-day military personnel harbor white supremist inclinations), and it is possible to change the present (by turning military personnel against each other, or mainstream society against their front-line defenders).  Voila!  Mission accomplished!

I suspect that Military Times never conducted a valid poll of military personnel.  I make this suggestion based on this contention: the question was constructed by an idiot.  What is nationalism?  What is white nationalism?  How do they differ?  In what ways have the respondents observed racism?  How were respondents targeted?  By race or ethnicity?  By age?  By location in the country?  By military affiliation?  By rank?

A note to our friends, particularly those without a military background.  No military unit, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, or Space Force is able to perform its demanding duty when there is a pervasive environment of discord.  Conflict takes many forms … racial and ethnic division constitute only two of several possibilities.  Some troops from Tennessee can’t abide New Yorkers.  Some Baptists will never get along with Hindus.  Some women wearing our military uniform are man-haters.  There are still men who prey on women.

These examples serve to illustrate what our society offers the local military recruiter.  How we deal with it is in the time-honored way: we only promote men and women to noncommissioned officer ranks who have demonstrated the ability to lead.  We only offer commissions to men and women capable of developing into leaders who can lead NCOs.  We only promote to senior officer status those who have demonstrated the ability to lead junior officers.

Are there occasionally glitches in our imperfect system?  Of course.  Our military services are human inventions and there are times when our troops, our leaders let us down.  There are troops who break faith with their uniformed comrades.  There are NCOs and officers who fail to lead.  In each case of failure, there is a remedy, and the military services are really good about ferreting out troublemakers and leadership failures.

But there is no way that our military is a bastion of white supremacy or racism.  Any claim to the contrary is a damn lie.  We must reject those who would cause us to lose faith in our military establishment, who would sow the seeds of discontent within the military —and we ought to deny these destroyers access to sales through the military post exchanges and commissaries.  Such a decision is not up to me, or any of you.

It’s a bit complex

The company’s Military Times media group publishes newspapers aimed at current and former US military personnel.

  • Army Times, since 1940
  • Navy Times, since 1951
  • Air Force times, since 1947
  • Marine Corps Times, since 1999

I do not know how much money the company is making selling newspapers to military personnel and their families.  I also do not know its circulation.  What I do know is that the media group is owned by liberals, who invest in other media enterprises, and that they seem focused on changing (through nefarious means) American culture.  I do have a problem with this…

Sightline Media Group, formerly known as Gannett Government Media and Army Times Publishing Company, is a major media holding company.  The parent company of Sightline is Regent, L. P.  The company’s Military Times media group publishes newspapers aimed at current and former US military personnel.

Fascism – Which party supports it?

by Mustang

America’s political left continually refer to conservatives as “fascists.”  Is this true?  Hardly —and here’s why.  We must begin with an understanding of what fascism really means, who started it, and what was that person’s overlying political philosophy.

We know, for example, that the father of capitalism was Adam Smith (1723-1790), a Scottish philosopher and a key figure in the Scottish enlightenment.  And we know that the father of Marxism was Karl Marx (1818-1883).

Giovanni Gentile

Most people, however, do not know the name of the person who started “fascism.”  There is a reason we do not know that much about Giovanni Gentile (1875-1944): most academic historians, who identify with leftist politics, have worked overtime to erase Gentile from our memory.  But, in his own time, Gentile was one of the most influential philosophers.

Giovanni Gentile believed that there were two diametrically opposed forms of democracy.  The first was liberal democracy, which we Americans sometimes call “classical liberalism.”  This was what our founding fathers believed.

Gentile thought of this as individualistic, overly focused on human liberty and personal rights.  He thought of this, not as unalienable rights, but as socially selfish.  The other form, according to Gentile, was “true Democracy,” which occurs when individuals willingly subordinate themselves to the will of the state.

In a manner similar to Karl Marx, Gentile argued for a society that was formed much like a family, a condition in which all of us faced life’s challenges “together.”  We have witnessed this peculiar view in the statements, platforms, and policies of the Democratic Party.

In 1984, Governor Mario Cuomo argued that America is much like an extended family, where, through the government, people take care of each other.  Thirty years later, in 2012, Democrats argued that “government is the only thing we all belong to.”

Giovanni Gentile was a man of leftist politics.  He was a committed socialist, and in his mind, fascism was a form of socialism —and, indeed, the only workable form.  Whereas Marx sought to organize people based on class, Gentile wanted to arrange society based on class and national identity.  In other words, Gentile believed that fascists were socialists with a national identity; it distinguishes them from others, with similar beliefs, from other countries.

One may recall that the Nazis of Germany were “National Socialists.”  Gentile believed that all society should be organized to serve the public interests.  There was no room for private interests.  The administrative arm of society was, in Gentile’s view, the state.  To submit to the will of society was to acquiesce to the will of the state —not just in economic issues, but in all matters affecting society.  And, since everything in society is political, the people must empower the state to tell everyone how to think, and what to do.

The first national leader to convert Gentile’s philosophy into action was Benito Mussolini (1883-1945), the Italian dictator who controlled Italy from 1922 to 1943.  Mussolini once proclaimed, “All is in the state, and nothing human exists or has value outside the state.”  It was a statement that paraphrased the philosophy of Giovanni Gentile.

Americans today do not remember Gentile because leftist academics have successfully erased him from our memory.  What does remain, however, is his philosophy, which has been entirely adopted by the American political left.  Renamed, it is the philosophy of the Progressive Movement in the United States.

It does not require a political scholar to realize that Progressive politics, that is to say, the Democratic Party, has vastly expanded state control over the private sector.  We can see this in matters of economics, education, banking, and energy.

State directed capitalism is exactly what German and Italian governments implemented in the 1930’s.  Importantly, American leftists cannot acknowledge Gentile because in doing so, it would become the glue that binds American progressivism to fascism.

So let us now review: what do conservatives want?  They demand smaller government and expanded personal freedom.  They demand liberty.  The American political left wants to achieve the opposite: the resources of the individual and industry in the service of a centralized state, such as exists in Russia and China.

Were the American pollical left to acknowledge Giovanni Gentile, they would have to also acknowledge that fascism bears a deep kinship to the ideology to the Democratic Party.

Are fascists part of the conservative right?  No.  They are clearly the spawn of the ideology and political philosophy of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Jerry Nadler, Maxine Waters, and a host of other un-American idiots like Peter Buttigieg, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib.

Thinking Americans should know world history … our country’s survival depends on this knowledge.  Fascist, thy name is Democrat.

Theologians condemn Christian Nationalism…’grave sins against God the Creator’

Dozens of Christian theologians condemned Christian nationalism in an open letter. Their sentiments are echoed in a document prepared by the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty, which condemns Christian nationalism “as a distortion of the gospel of Jesus and a threat to American democracy.” More than 10,000 Christians have signed on to that document.

Stanley Hauerwas, professor emeritus at Duke Divinity School and one of the letter’s signatories, argues that nationalism is inconsistent with Christianity.

The letter, was published in the liberal Catholic magazine Commonweal this week.

It was only a matter of time until patriotic Christians were going to have to accept that the last source from whence they could drink to find inspiration and solace – The Church – would become just another political action tool – Simply a PAC. Even though the IRS is clear that for a church to maintain its Tax exempt status it must remove itself from politics.

However under the cloak of the bible, little interest by the IRS, churches have ramped up their Progressive creed. Under the cover of “Social Justice” there are few boundaries. Patriotism gets lost in the discussion. This is not the beginning… earlier under Obama

EPA to study Churches, develop programs to combat climate change

But now this latest letter and screed is a new and potent attack on conservative christians. Now they are into comparing the rising Germany last century with today’s American patriotism. Those who support a country with limited immigration are subject to the “hell fire and brimstone” sermons of long ago. This time, the punishment will be meted out by the church itself with this dire warning..

. ”ethno-nationalism…as grave sins against God the Creator.”

Without further adieu here tis:

Commonweal is pleased to publish the following open letter about the disturbing rise of nationalism, especially among some Christians, in the United States.

The signatories, which include Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant theologians, “reject nationalism’s tendency to homogenize and narrow the church to a single ethnos,” arguing that “[i]f the church is not ethnically plural, it is not the church.” They also condemn the “xenophobia and racism of many forms of ethno-nationalism…as grave sins against God the Creator.”

In the 1930s many serious Christian thinkers in Germany believed they could manage an alliance with emergent illiberal nationalism. Prominent theologians like Paul Althaus and Friedrich Gogarten believed that the National Socialist movement offered a new opportunity to strengthen social order and cohesion around Christian identity. But some Christians immediately resisted, most visibly in the Barmen Declaration of 1934, which rejected the compromises of “German” Christianity and its heinous distortions of the Gospel.

Our situation in 2019 is surely different, but American Christians now face a moment whose deadly violence has brought such analogies to mind. Again we watch as demagogues demonize vulnerable minorities as infesting vermin or invading forces who weaken the nation and must be removed. Again we watch as fellow Christians weigh whether to fuse their faith with nationalist and ethno-nationalist politics in order to strengthen their cultural footing.

Here are a few of their main points in the letter:

1. We reject the pretensions of nationalism to usurp our highest loyalties. National identity has no bearing on the debts of love we owe other sons and daughters of God. Created in the image and likeness of God, all human beings are our neighbors regardless of citizenship status.

4. We reject nationalism’s claim that the stranger, refugee, and migrant are enemies of the people. Where nationalism fears the stranger as a threat to political community, the church welcomes the stranger as necessary for full communion with God. Jesus Christ identifies himself with the poor, imprisoned foreigner in need of hospitality. “For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, a stranger and you gave me no welcome, naked and you gave me no clothing, ill and in prison, and you did not care for me” (Matthew 25:41-43).

5. We reject the nationalist’s inclination to despair when unable to monopolize power and dominate opponents. When Christians change from majority to minority status in a given country, they should not contort their witness in order to stay in power. The church remains the church even as a political minority, even when unable to influence the government or when facing persecution.

In charity and in hope, we urge our fellow Christians to repudiate the temptations and the falsehoods of nationalism. The politics of xenophobia, even when dressed up in high-minded social critique, can only be pursued in contradiction of the Gospel. A true culture of life welcomes the stranger, embraces the orphan, and binds the wounds of all who are our neighbors—all who lie lifeless on the road, as the pious walk silently past.

Life —it’s all about them

Gwyneth Paltrow

By Mustang

It’s pretty amazing when you think about it … how rich and arrogant leftists are, how they will do anything to enrich themselves further, all the while pretending that they give a damn about “the people.”  I read this example of financial greed a week or so ago … thought I’d share.

The actress Gwyneth Paltrow (a leftist-weirdo if ever there was one) wasn’t content to rake in millions in the film industry, so she started a company called Goop.  No, really —that’s what she calls it.  The company sells “healthful” products to help the little people. She calls it her lifestyle brand.  Some examples of her products include GTOX 5-salt detox body scrub, Martini Emotional Detox Bath Soak, Replenishing Night Crème, and Revitalizing Day Moisturizer.  She calls one wellness product He Shou Wu rejuvenation tonic; it’s a supplement selling for about $73.00.  You can get a charcoal stick for just under $30 —but I’m not quite sure what you’re supposed to do with it.

A British newspaper recently described the Paltrow products as Gobbledy-Goop and they’ve called her out on some of her ridiculous claims.  Ignoring these criticisms, she actually appeared on BBC to defend her brand, even claiming that the company hires its own scientists to help develop quality products.

Perhaps Gwyneth misspoke; perhaps she meant to say that her company hires its own pseudoscientists.  Real scientists are telling BBC that Paltrow’s claims are only this: fraudulent.  Dr. Edzard Ernst, who is an emeritus professor of medicine at the University of Exeter said, “The only evidence her products are supported is that they render Mrs. Paltrow richer and her gullible customers a little poorer.”  Dr. Les Rose, a retired medical researcher added, “This subculture of alternative health is actually very harmful.”

Well, no matter … Paltrow won’t be dissuaded.  “We really believe there are healing modalities that have existed for thousands of years and they challenge maybe a conventional western doctor that might not believe necessarily in the healing powers of essential oils or any variety of acupuncture —things that have been tried and tested for hundreds of years … and we find that they are very helpful to people and that there is an incredible power in the human body to heal itself.”

Here’s a sample of her healing modalities (raucous laughter is authorized):

She sells Jade Eggs.  The company ran a televised interview with a beauty guru who advocated that women should put jade eggs inside their vaginas to increase their sexual energy.

The company also recommends Vaginal Steaming to clean the female insides.  This is where a client sits on a mini-throne and a combination of infrared and mugwort steam cleans the uterus.  Paltrow wrote, “It is an energetic release that balances female hormones.”  One [real] doctor opined: “It is probably not a good for the vagina.  Herbal steam is no better and possibly worse.  Mugwort, when steamed, either vaginally or on the vulva, can’t possibly balance any reproductive hormones, regulate menstrual cycles, treat depression, or cure infertility. Most definitely never do that,” he said, “as there are risks of burns at a place where you don’t want any.”

Goop recommends that women never wear tight bras because it can increase the risk of breast cancer.  Now this is a topic that scares most women.  Experts, on the other hand, say that the claim is “bad, unscientific, and maddening.”  Why would Paltrow do such a thing?

Finally, Paltrow’s company sells Moon Dust.  Yep.  It’s a range of powdered herbal remedies said to work synergistically at the deepest levels to enhance one’s beauty, brains, body, sexual energy, sleep, and spirit.  Paltrow herself is said to sprinkle moon dust in her morning smoothie.  On the other hand, bona fide nutritionists say that its ingredients are a mixture of Chinese herbs and medicines and there is no evidence that it has any value to human health.

Paltrow had to pay out nearly $150,000 for making the false Jade Egg claim, but she remains undeterred.  She and fellow nut bag Demi Moore toasted ten successful years selling their snake-oil modalities to people who are dumber than they are.

I suppose it all comes down to this: either Gwyneth Paltrow seeks to enrich herself by taking advantage of mentally fragile people, which is typical of most leftists here in America as well, or if she truly does believe in the healing power of Vaginal Steaming, she ought not be allowed to walk around without the supervision of an adult caretaker.

Leftist Blueprints for America

Leftists Blueprints for America  – Guest post by Mustang

In a recent article published by Gatestone Institute, Guy Millière wrote the following:

1.      The French government and its justice system claim to treat all religions equally, but they treat Islam as if it were more equal than others—which is to say that Islam enjoys special privileges.  Those who criticize Islam —especially as it is tied to terrorism— become victims of fierce prosecution.

2.     In the words of the spokesman for the Collective Against Islamophobia in France, Marwan Muhammed said, “Who has the right to say in thirty or forty years, France will not be a Muslim country?  No one in this country has the right to extinguish our hope for a society that is globally faithful to Islam.”

3.     President Macron recently said that he wants a law against “fake news.”  If such a law is adopted, all on-line magazines in France that do not broadcast what the government defines as “true news” could be subject to government sanction or suspension.  If such magazines are found outside of France, then access to them could be blocked within France.  Islamic on-line magazines and websites are not on the list of “fake news” providers.  What magazines and websites appear at the top of the government’s list?  Those that question Islam.

Mr. Millière may have missed the point of what has happened to France —indeed, most of Europe.  The issue isn’t Islam; it is that France has become a collectivized society where the rights of individuals (to have and express an opinion, no matter how unpopular it may be) must take a backseat to the right of the state to regulate and control human thought and behavior.  In France, citizens are no longer treated as individuals who are endowed by their creator to have certain unalienable rights, they are treated as rather insignificant cogs in a much larger wheel designed to define society and mold culture according to the will of an elitist oligarchy.  France today is a nation in which government strives to stifle thinking and any expression of intelligence that contradict the political elite.

Unhappily, France has become a Hegelian-Marxist state.  Worse than this, however, is the fact that the United States is now embarked upon this exact same course.  To see this, one only need give cursory attention to the leftist-progressive agenda.  To understand how this is even possible in a nation of more than 330-million people, look to what is occurring inside public classrooms, and has been for the past fifty years.  At the top of the leftist structure are those who think that it takes a village to raise a child, who believe that the role of parents must take a backseat to the primacy of government in the role of shaping national culture.

Frankly, this reality should scare the hell out of thinking Americans, and it ought to serve as a catalyst for a massive and long overdue change in our direction.  It cannot begin with national political leadership, such as choosing one presidential candidate over another.  No, taking America back from the brink of its extinction must begin within neighborhoods, communities, counties, and states.  Joe and Sally Citizen must reclaim their classrooms from the communist agents who now control them.

Note: the architects of our present social and cultural demise include Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831), Karl Marx (1818-1883), along with a host of their acolytes.  One doesn’t have to be a philosopher to understand that these were mentally disturbed men writing convoluted theories wrapped up in meaningless verbiage, but a freedom-loving individual should recognize that their demented notions are today central to the American progressive movement.

Washington Post reporter attends top secret Soros meeting to advance agenda

Thanks to everyone for the Thanksgiving well wishes..back from a lovely holiday with friends and family. Let us not rest, but keep the torch of liberty aflame. Snuff out the liberal media’s lies and deceit. How about this one for a start? :

Allegedly unbiased Washington Post reporter Janell Ross spoke at a top-secret meeting of liberal movers and shakers last week, where Democratic donors including billionaire George Soros outlined the future of their progressive agenda.

A Post spokesperson told the Washington Free Beacon that Ross took part of the California event “without notifying her superiors that she would be attending.”

The Democracy Alliance, which hosted the event, bills itself as “the largest network of donors dedicated to building the progressive movement in the United States” on the group’s official website. The liberal group also claims to “play a leading role in fostering the infrastructure necessary to advance a progressive agenda” in the United States.

The group intended to keep “the identities of its members and guests confidential,” according to the Beacon, but the paper obtained a “detailed conference agenda that lists both events and featured guests.” Once the Beacon revealed the attendees, the group reportedly beefed up security and asked participants to keep details off social media.

California solves Medi-Cal deficit by using $5400 Euthanasia drug

This is how the Progressives find value in human lives. Euthanasia. In a special session to determine methods for cost savings for their State Health care which is running a deficit this swell idea blossomed forth. Someone should ask Marxist Sanders his opinion. Throw in Hillary Clinton.

So, by NOT allowing people on Medi-Cal cancer doctors, you assure their death—and by using the $5400 lethal dose, taxpayers save money.  Is this unethical, immoral or just good business by government?  This is the same government that spends tens of millions of dollars to keep murderers alive on death row.  Confused?

From the California Catholic Conference story:

Without fanfare or announcement, Governor Brown’s proposed 2016 Budget recommends $2.3 million dollars to allow California to purchase lethal drugs for Medi-Cal patients who want their physician to help them commit suicide. California would pay an estimated $5,400 per patient just for the drugs yet Medi-Cal patients still have no access to palliative care (designed to improve the quality of life for patients and their family facing serious illnesses.) Even more incredibly, a recent study has shown that Medi-Cal recipients have only a one in three chance of even getting cancer treatments under the system and often cannot obtain second opinions.

Proponents of the assisted-suicide law insisted during last year’s debate that the lethal dose of drugs was not intended to save Medi-Cal costs yet lawmakers passed the legislation in a special session called specifically to address a Medi-Cal deficit.

Meanwhile, those living in NE Pennsylvania and caught up in cop killer Frein “quarantine” otherwise known as “Shelter in Place” otherwise known as Martial Law gets zero attention. The Frein case has been going on for over six weeks.

Rich Barry, one of the residents, said he was coming home from work in New York City at 7 p.m. when police stopped him at Route 447.

“I have a wife and a 2-year-old at home and I want to see them,” he said. “I wanted to try walking back home, but an officer told me they’d put me under arrest.”

First, from Puma:

Those of us who have been paying attention the past several weeks knew something was up as we recognized the language, i.e., Barack Obama, White House, CDC, MSNBC and now Sandra Flukes’ Kaci’s talking points were EXACTLY the same, VERBATIM. On top of it all, Ebola Nurse aka elitist aka Sandra Fluke, correction Kaci Hickox is a registered Progressive (and Obama shill), which explains her arrogance and overwhelming sense of PRIVILEGE.

Initially turned down for Doctors Without Borders, Hickox applied for a position with the Centers for Disease Control’s infectious disease unit. She received that position and began a two-year fellowship in Las Vegas, NV where she currently still works.

Hickox’s travels as a nurse took her to Myanmar, Cambodia, and Nigeria and convinced her of the importance of quarantines and ‘health surveillance,’ according to the University of Texas-Arlington newsmagazine.‘I realize that we need to find better ways to improve health surveillance and outbreak response in settings with poor resources,’ Hickox said. ‘My training in the EIS with the CDC will allow me to learn the gold standard of this kind of work….’
