Biden: ‘Police should Shoot in the leg not in the heart’

Buried in all the mayhem and little noticed is that Joe Biden breeched from his bunker to give us his latest thoughts on good police policy.

The last time we heard from Joe Biden on guns it was 2013 and he was advising his wife and others to break the law by firing a shotgun recklessly into the air without aiming in order to ward off home intruders. Here is what he said:

I said, Jill, if there’s ever a problem just walk out on the balcony here or walk out, put that double-barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house,” Biden said. “I promise you who ever is coming in is not go — you don’t need an AR-15

This should work. No need for an AR-15

Here is more when the Biden defense was used.

“Instead of standing there and teaching a cop when there’s an unarmed person coming at ’em with a knife or something to shoot ’em in the leg instead of the heart is a very different thing,” he said.

As Biden spoke from a church on Monday, he said that his administration would set up a police oversight board in the first 100 days, which would be used in part to re-evaluate how officers are trained to deal with people.

“There are a lot of different things that can change” about police training, Biden said as he came up with a hypothetical about what cops should do while arresting a man.

Every time Joe Biden speaks on firearms–remember he wanted to ban magazines that hold more than one bullet–he shows us his ignorance on this subject.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot: We Will Cite You, Arrest You, and Jail You for Violating Stay-at-Home Orders.

Where is the outrage? There are any number of examples. I find this Lightfoot gal one of the most egregious… maybe look at her Chicago crime rate first before she takes her strident position.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is threatening to permanently close churches and synagogues that do not comply with his order to stop gathering during the coronavirus outbreak.

“The NYPD, Fire Department, Buildings Department, and everyone has been instructed that if they see worship services going on, they will go to the officials of that congregation, they’ll inform them they need to stop the services and disperse,” de Blasio explained.

“If that does not happen, they will take additional action up to the point of fines and potentially closing the building permanently,” de Blasio continued. “You’ve been warned, you need to stop services, help people practice their faith in different ways, but not in groups, not in gatherings that could endanger people.”

ROME — Pope Francis urged obedience to state lockdown measures Tuesday, just 36 hours after Italian bishops reproached the government for refusing to allow public worship.

“At this time, as indications emerge for a way out of quarantine, we pray that the Lord will grant us the grace of prudence and obedience to these indications, so that the pandemic does not return,” the pontiff said in a daily tweet.

Meanwhile the arrests and threats continue.
Other than that all is well in the swamp.

Jen Rubin: GOP Should Be ‘Burned Down’ with No ‘Survivors

The heat rose on the Sunday talkies against the GOP to a new flame thrower level. Literally. This no less from the Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin. If we thought the Old Gray Lady was moribund, the Post is on a mission to out do her in her death cry.

On Sunday’s AM Joy on MSNBC, Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin renewed a previous attack on former Donald Trump administration members as she declared that they should be “shunned” for the rest of the lives, and that the Republican Party should figuratively be “burned down” so that there are no “survivors,” punishing Trump’s “enablers.”

Rubin then repeated her call for “shunning” and “shaming” Trump administration members and complained that the University of Virginia had employed a former Trump staffer for a while. The disgruntled ex-Republican then aimed further vitriol at her former party:

It’s not only that Trump has to lose, but that all his enablers have to lose — we have to collectively, in essence, burn down the Republican party. We have to level them because if there are survivors — if there are people who weather this storm, they will do it again — will take this as confirmation that, “Hey, it just pays to ride the wave — look at me, I’ve made it through.”

This has become a dysfunctional anti-government party. That is not what the country wants and what it needs. And the proof is in the pudding. The reason they engage in voter suppression is because their underlying agenda is very unpopular. No one’s in favor, it turns out, of taking away people’s health care. People don’t like it when you come after Medicaid and Medicare.

We conservative Gopers disregard what is happening at our peril. What is becoming clear is that we will have an opening on the Supreme court very soon. Not that in the end it will effect our cause to the better to have an addition of a GOP selection. No need to beat that horse.

But this will totally have the Democrats frothing at the mouth. Was it a coincidence that we had the movie “The Hunt” – where elites hunt down deplorables – scheduled to come out this fall?

As if that wasn’t enough, Newsweek decided what was best to do with us after the hunt.

The Hunt –  and it will make it to a theatre near you before the election.

A tip of the hat to Newsbusters wander over to hear and view a version of the rant by Rubin with just the “high points.”

Other than that, all is well in the swamp. For the best in conservative news click below

UK Liberty GB party candidate Weston arrested for quoting Winston Churchill

Great Britain reaches a new low in political correctness. So now Winston Churchill would be arrested if he were alive today. Winston had it right back in the day. But forget that. The thought police are in full control.

Via Islam Watch

Quoting from the great WWII statesman Winston Churchill’s literary work, for which he won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953, has become a criminal offence in the UK—as it seems.

Paul Weston, chairman of the UK’s Liberty GB party and a candidate in the 22 May European Parliament Elections, was arrested by the British police on 26 April for quoting a passage from Winston Churchill’s book.

At around 2pm, Weston was addressing the passers-by on the street from the steps of Winchester Guildhall with a megaphone. He quoted the following passage about Islam from Churchill book, The River War:

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the faith: all know how to die but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith.”

Reportedly a woman, who found the passage “disgusting”, came out of the Guildhall and called the police.

Responding to her call, six or seven police officers arrived and questioned Weston for about 40 minutes.

At about 3pm, they arrested and searched him, and took him away in a police van.

Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) offered the amendment that blocks funding for various policy advisers to combat what he called “a very disturbing proliferation of czars” under Obama.

“These unappointed, unaccountable people who are literally running a shadow government, heading up these little fiefdoms that nobody can really seem to identify where they are or what they’re doing,” Scalise said Thursday. “But we do know that they’re wielding vast amounts of power.”

The jobs on the chopping block: White House-appointed advisers on health care, energy and climate, green jobs, urban affairs, the closure of the Guantanamo Bay detention center, oversight of TARP executive compensation, diversity at the Federal Communications Commission and the auto industry manufacturing policy

Despite Jan Brewer’s Debate Meltdown, Her Poll Numbers Go Up —

Now here was a nice read. Oh, it did pain me to see Jan suffer so. It reminded me of my 9th grade speech I had to give in front of the class. Turned out, I was a blank slate. I have been reading the interpretation of this upswing, and of course, it is painted as we idiots, are idiots once again not to turn on her. Perhaps we have this thing called compassion? Compassion.. putting ourselves in her shoes and having empathy- oh, that’s right, the left does not understand this emotion.

As hard as it is to watch someone who’s the governor of an entire state — and is campaigning to remain governor — look like a nervous kid in spelling bee on the verge of passing out, most voters polled don’t seem to mind.

Um, according to conservative pollster Scott Rasmussen. His poll says Brewer’s popularity has increased by 3 percent from a few weeks ago, despite last week’s brain fart.

According to the poll, Brewer now leads her Democratic opponent, Attorney General Terry Goddard, with 60 percent of the vote to Goddard’s 38 percent.

A similar poll conducted about two weeks ago showed Brewer leading the race with 57 percent to Goddard’s 38 percent.

It’s not like people are unaware of Jan’s (ahem) moment of silence, either. Eighty-five percent of those polled said they’d followed stories of Brewer’s performance in the debate somewhat closely.
