Supreme Roberts and his Judicial Crisis

The Temporary Restraining Orders put in place to stop Trump’s agenda are piling up in case anyone has not noticed. We are well into a crisis. Whether we like it or not, Roberts over at the Supreme is the man we apparently need to count on to lead us out of the wilderness. Good luck with that.

There is an interesting piece over at Town Hall. The author is good enough to take a wack at trying to figure out this man. Here we go:

Town Hall:        Kurt Schlichter  The Agony of John Roberts.

If he had the capacity to lead that he so manifestly lacks, John Roberts could save his institution with decisive and bold action. But that’s not who he is. Understand what John Roberts wants. He is an institutionalist who has always wanted to protect the judiciary branch. He wants it to be a fully co-equal branch that is respected by all. But the very actions he has chosen to take – or not to take – in response to the current crisis of out-of-control subordinate courts are guaranteeing that it will fall.

Judge Roberts’s problem is that he wants to return to something like regular order in the judiciary. What we have is highly irregular order. You non-lawyers need to understand that all these temporary restraining orders and injunctions and so forth are insane. This is not how law is done, either procedurally or substantively. I did litigation for 30 years, including in federal courts (up to arguing in front of the Ninth Circuit), and never saw anything remotely like these antics. So, realize that this is abnormal.

Abnormal times call for abnormal responses, but that’s not how John Roberts or his ilk work. Remember, he’s a Bushie, the kind of soft Republican who sees his job less as fixing our broken government than managing its gentlemanly decline. We’ve largely booted them out of elective office, but Roberts has his seat for life. His advocation is protecting his institution. He wants the judiciary to be held in respect and obeyed, but he doesn’t want to do the hard, stern work of disciplining his underlings that makes that possible.

John Roberts wants the normal appellate procedures to apply. He’s hoping that if he shuts his eyes and pretends that everything is normal, he’ll open them and it will all be normal again. This was the main takeaway from his unbelievably tone-deaf response to Trump’s, Musk’s, and others’ frustration-driven talk about impeachment. Now, Roberts was right in theory about what he said, but what we’re facing is not theory but practice.

Well worth the full ride. Read more.

There was zero need for Roberts to weigh in on it. There are not even close to 67 votes to impeach a judge.

This is getting dicey. The best of the swamp.

Gavin Newsom Launches Methane Satellites as CA Health System goes Bankrupt

While the rest of us are expected to reimburse $40 Billion to the CA denizens for the fires that ravaged  their state, it’s up and away for tracking the evil methane gases. While it is claimed that Newsom is tracking to the right to prepare for his run for President next time around, he doubles down on bankrupting California.

By the way, Newsom also recently signed $50 million in spending to fight the administration’s policies and to provide legal assistance to illegal aliens who are resisting deportation.

Breitbart:

Governor Gavin Newsom announced Friday that the State of California will launch methane-detecting satellite sensors at a cost of $100 million — while it is borrowing over $6 billion to fill shortfalls in its health care system.

The Golden State is out of cash, and its Medicaid system, Medi-Cal, is reportedly insolvent thanks to Newom’s decision to expand free health care to illegal aliens. The state is also reeling from wildfires, homelessness, and crime.

Yet Newsom, who recently launched his own podcast, believes that the state has enough money to fund the launch of satellite sensors to track the local release of methane, a greenhouse gas, in an effort to reduce global emissions.

Ironically, California has emitted six times more carbon dioxide than any other state in the Union over the past 17 years, thanks to wildfires that have burned out of control partly due to the state’s failure to clear brush in forests.

Newsom announced the satellite launch as a dig against the Trump administration over climate change — even as he is also counting on President Donald Trump and the Republicans to provide $40 billion in aid for the California fires. In a statement, the governor’s office said:

The satellite project and the data acquired by it is made possible by a $100 million investment from the state’s Cap-and-Trade program. Already, one satellite has been launched with up to 7 more to be deployed.

The state will maintain a database and web portal to coordinate and document mitigation actions. While California does not own these satellites, state agencies will be able to select specific regions for observation. This data will also be available to communities to view methane mitigation efforts, education, and for outreach.

Last year, California followed through on a promise by former Governor Jerry Brown when a philanthropically-backed coalition, including the state, launched its ‘own damn satellite’ to help track dangerous pollutants like methane.

Just for the point of reference as to what this is all about, let’s slide back a few years and check out Bunks box of golden moment

United States Signs Commitment Placing Farmers Under Restrictions to Reduce Methane Gas.

The nations signing onto this pledge to transform their farm policies are the United States, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Chile, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Germany, Panama, Peru and Spain.

So it’s curious that, at the very time the globalists are warning about food shortages and famine, their mouthpieces at the World Bank, the U.N., and within the administrations of the U.S. and its allies (notice China and Russia are nowhere to be found in these preposterous anti-food policies), are talking about converting over to a new and unproven form of “sustainable” farming that’s focused more on reducing methane than it is on producing the highest yields of food.

What he really means in the tweet below is, 100 million free people and 900 million serfs and slaves, the few they decided to keep alive to serve them. The billions slated for removal are we “useless eaters” that automation will make idle, and the Elites don’t like free men. Too hard to control

Judge Blocks Musk’s DOGE Team from Access to Social Security Data

Another Temporary Restraining Order to stop or at the minimum slow down Trump in accomplishing his mission of digging into the deep state and finding fraud and abuse. We have arrived at a judicial crisis point with no end in sight. Supreme Court Roberts has made it clear that he is not interested in placing a red light on any of it so far.

Why is there never any concern over nameless random government employees having access to data? Why does anyone trust them??? All the pearl clutching and no one among the pearl clutchers can answer that question.

Stephen Miller:

Currently, district court judges have assumed the mantle of Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, Secretary of Homeland Security and Commander-in-Chief. Each day, they change the foreign policy, economic, staffing and national security policies of the Administration.

Each day the nation arises to see what the craziest unelected local federal judge has decided the policies of the government of the United States shall be. It is madness. It is lunacy. It is pure lawlessness. It is the gravest assault on democracy. It must and will end.

Here we go with Social Security.

“The DOGE Team is essentially engaged in a fishing expedition at SSA, in search of a fraud epidemic, based on little more than suspicion,” wrote judge Hollander, an Obama appointee.

The order still allows DOGE to access ‘redacted or anonymized data and records of SSA.’ (What help will redacted info be to DOGE?)

According to the Trump administration, DOGE has a 10-person team of federal employees investigating the Social Security Administration, seven of whom have been granted read-only access to agency systems or personally identifiable information. The government has argued that DOGE access doesn’t significantly deviate from normal practices inside the agency whereby employees can search databases.

*  *  *

Today’s ruling follows a string of judicial DOGE-blocking – as their access to records across the federal government have prompted disputes with senior officials at various agencies. Perhaps most prominently, the highest-ranking civil servant at the US Treasury Department quit after similarly refusing to grant Musk’s team access to the Bureau of Fiscal Service, which manages over $5 trillion in annual payments.

On February 8, 2025, Judge Paul A. Engelmayer in New York blocked DOGE from Treasury records after 19 states, led by NY AG Letitia James, sued over cybersecurity threats. Subsequent rulings, like Judge Deborah Boardman’s February 24 TRO on Education and OPM data, reinforced limits on DOGE’s reach. These cases established that DOGE’s “need-to-know” basis for PII access was unproven.

The same day that King quit, Musk posted what he says could be the biggest fraud in US history‘ in which millions of ‘people’ over the age of 100 are collecting payments.

“The Supreme Court’s going to have to step in and make some sound rulings here and stop activist judges from violating the Constitution by their interference. It is going to be a big issue.”

Here we have what the left thinks of this. A Federal Judge has blocked DOGE’s access to sensitive Social Security information. Ana Kasparian discusses on The Young Turks.

Mark Levin Opines on the matter:

HOLY SMOKES: Mark Levin just ROASTED Chief Justice John Roberts:
“It’s time to GROW A PAIR, JUDGE!” “How the HELL are we going to have 680 individual unelected federal judges…all sitting there behind their desks…saying, you know, I don’t like this idea!”

“This is EXACTLY what Locke and Montesquieu and Jefferson and Madison warned!” “I DON’T CARE about what John Roberts pronounces from the bench! Do your job, Chief justice of the United States!” “FIX IT!” “This government exists for WE THE PEOPLE! It doesn’t exist for John Roberts, the judges, Congress or ANYBODY ELSE!. This WHOLE THING was set up for US — to protect US!” “It is GROTESQUE!”

Schumer over at MSNBC. A constitutional crisis indeed.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said President Trump’s escalating attacks on the judiciary have resulted in a “constitutional crisis” in the United States and that “democracy is at risk” during an interview with NBC News’ “Meet the Press.”

United States is the biggest arms dealer on Earth, responsible for 43% of the world’s weapons

The United States was the world’s largest arms exporter between 2020 and 2024, delivering weapons to 107 states.

The argument could be made that all of this military production for the world is for defense purposes. But that perhaps would require some effort. Considering the Pentagon never managed to have a succesfull audit, no one really knows how much the United States spends nor where the money goes.

We think of some dark place on earth where unsavory characters are trading weapons on the Black Market. Here apparently openly, out in front, the U.S. is heavily involved in the arms business. What am I missing?

An interesting factoid from Zero Hedge:

As Statista’s Anna Fleck shows in the chart below, it accounted for 43 percent of global exports in that time period, up from 35 percent of all international arms sales between 2015 and 2019.

France was in second place, accounting for 9.6 percent of arms exports in 2020-2024, up from 8.6 percent in the five year period before.

This is according to the latest release of weapons transfer data by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).

….

Where the U.S., France and Italy were among the countries to grow their arms exports in 2020-24, Russia, China, Germany the United Kingdom and Israel were among those to record decreases in the time period

The five largest importers in 2020-24 were Ukraine, India, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Supreme Roberts Attacks Trump For Calling for Judge Impeachments

An ominous sign and portends a rocky road ahead for our country. The last stand that has been used to reign in wayward judges was the Supreme court. Amy Coney Barrett appears to have crossed over. We are on the cusp of the loss of the majority. It depends on Roberts.

Worse, Roberts statement gives encouragement to these District Justices to continue with this nonsense of acting beyond their scope.

Maybe I missed it. Did John Roberts put out a statement condemning Joe Biden after he stated he would ignore the Supreme Court’s decision on student loan forgiveness and find a way around it?

U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts issued a rare public statement Tuesday about President Donald Trump’s call to impeach Judge James E. Boasberg, who tried to block the administration from carrying out deportation flights over the weekend.

For starters:

From a tweet from Sean Davis, CEO and Co-founder of the Federalist.

For more than two centuries, the question of whether to impeach judges has been left solely to the elected representatives of the American people. John Roberts has no say in the matter, regardless of how much he wishes otherwise.

Our Constitution gives John Roberts no power whatsoever when it comes to judicial impeachment, and it certainly doesn’t give him the power to “reject” congressional impeachment when and if it comes. In fact, this unbridled arrogance from Roberts is the precise reason judicial impeachment is now being demanded for rogue judges.

Had Roberts done his job and restrained inferior judges from overstepping their bounds and claiming for themselves authority and power which does not belong to them, we would not find himself in this predicament.

These calls are happening precisely because of John Roberts, not in spite of him. What John Roberts needs to understand right now is that his continued cowardice in the face of lawless judicial insurrection against the elected government of the people—not rightful criticism of judges—is the fatal threat to the legitimacy of the judiciary he idolizes.

The more he acts like a craven politician, the more we are going to treat him like one. A smarter man than him would understand that the moment the Chief Justice is viewed more as a slimy politician than a fair judge, it’s over for him and his precious judiciary.

Amy Coney Barrett. A portent of what was to happen the very next day with the USAID ruling.

Government Fraud from ‘Magic Computers’ to NGO’s to Empty Buildings

The extent of the corruption in our government is beyond the pale. From “magic computers” to NGO’s that were simply money laundering operations. No doubt this is not even a fraction of what is out there. Obscene….

And this?

“One of the biggest scams we’ve uncovered is that the government can give money to so-called nonprofits with very few controls and there’s no auditing of that nonprofit,” Elon Musk said.

Nonprofits take billions of dollars from the US government, and there is no oversight or auditing of the firm.

Democrat grifters like Stacey Abrams are getting exposed for creating nonprofits and taking billions of dollars from taxpayers.

“They then give themselves extremely lavish, like insane salaries, expense everything to the nonprofit – you know, buy jets and homes all sorts of things,” Elon Musk said.

WATCH:

Kari Lake for the icing on the cake.

Here is the full interview with Elon Musk.

In a Verdict Exclusive from The White House, Elon Musk joins Senator Ted Cruz and Ben Ferguson for a discussion about D.O.G.E. and the first 50 days of the Trump Administration.
