"Isn't Santa naughty?" "Ho, ho. ho, fuck"

Alright guys, I see why we like slashers now! What a wonderful, creepy movie. If there are any more like this, please let me know, I will watch them.

Black Christmas gets a lot of stuff right. The killer is very creepy, and I think he's scarier with a voice than the silent ones. The stuff he said made me uncomfortable. That piggy cunt monologue was seriously alarming and disturbed. That shit did not even slightly work for me in The Exorcist, but here it's upsetting and it works.

The characters are so good. It's not during the slashing that this movie shines. The kills are fine but beside the rocking chair and the humorous unicorn, they are not that memorable. But the tension created here was somehow way more than usual. It always felt on the verge of catastrophe.

There are these great moments like the insane piano recital (which actually sounds like Debussy played awesome) or the monologue about the turtle. When she went into that extended turtle discussion I totally lost it. It was funny and charming and felt real.

I loved it. Thank you to basically everyone I follow for making it obvious that I had to watch it. This is my tradition now. Finally I love a slasher. I don't think I've ever given one five stars before. I could watch it again now, and that says everything,

Recommendations appreciated!
