Become an Axiom Maths partner school
We believe that it is schools and teachers who change pupils’ lives, and that it is our job to support them as best we can. Our core approach is to partner with schools to embed Axiom Maths and have the strongest possible impact on your pupils.
This programme is a long-term commitment from us to support your school. We commit to at least five years, to work with your pupils from the start of secondary school until they complete their GCSEs. Over this time we will provide direct funding and access to other opportunities and support.
With Axiom Maths schools we:
- Fund a member of staff to take on responsibility for identifying and nurturing pupils with the heart and head for maths, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Provide you with the resources, training and support to run Year 7 and 8 maths circles in school
- Work with you to keep adding capacity as you introduce further maths circles (with the aim being to run circles from Year 7 through to Year 11), either through providing additional funding or access to an alternative delivery model
- Offer access to our toolkit of school support, including teacher training, tutoring for maths circle pupils in need, enrichment activities, places for your pupils at our summer school and other events throughout the year. We launch the process of signing up to become an Axiom Maths school in the spring term every year. Sign up here to express an interest and be notified when this process launches.
Nominate a pupil to join a maths circle
We are inviting teachers to express their interest in nominating eligible pupils for our maths circles, delivered both online and in various locations across the country. Although the current nomination window has closed, there will be another opportunity to nominate pupils during the autumn term next year. Register your interest now, and we will contact you when nominations reopen.
These places are limited and prioritised for pupils from schools serving disadvantaged communities. We kindly ask that at least half of the nominated pupils from each school be eligible for pupil premium.
Thank you for your dedication to supporting high-potential pupils in mathematics.
