On May 28, 2025 the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills and Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC), provided a joint statement and update on the advancement of reserved practice for technologists and technicians in British Columbia.
This update marks an important milestone in our shared commitment to public protection and professional regulation. We want to inform registrants that the requirement to remain registered under a reserved practice model has advanced. The next steps are now with government.
More information is available in the statement.
