University of Victoria researchers are helping advance made-in-Canada solutions in space, climate, and dual-use technology. With a combined $5.43 million in PacifiCan support, two researchers in UVic’s Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science are moving forward projects with real-world applications across Canada. The investment will support a new Western Canada cluster focused on space-enabled industries, led by the Centre for Aerospace Research, as well as an AI-enabled drone surveying and mapping system designed to improve flood and wildfire risk assessment. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/g_AxBm2A
