Some of the pets on our website may have an adoption pending. If your preferred pet is unavailable, don’t worry – we’ll work with you to find another loving dog or cat that suits your needs.

For Amanda, the adoption process is a thoughtful one because we aim to ensure that our dogs and cats find their forever homes fit for each other. Returning a pet to the rescue can be traumatic for both the pet and the adopters, and we want to minimize that possibility through our due diligence during the adoption process.

No, we do not transport dogs to out-of-area adopters. We focus on adoptions in Southern California to ensure that both the adopters and pets can meet in person and develop a strong bond. This approach also prioritizes the safety of our of dogs and cats by avoiding potential risks associated with long-distance transportation.

Because Amanda is the only rescue in L.A. with a full-services vet hospital, all of our dogs and cats receive a full exam before going to their new home. Because of this, the adoption process can take about one week.
