Aiyoku no Eustia (Eustia of the Tarnished Wings), known in Japanese as “穢翼のユースティア,” is a dark fantasy visual novel by August (オーガスト) for Windows PC. Set in a decaying, stratified city suspended in the sky and kept aloft by the prayers of a Saint, the story unfolds after a catastrophic collapse that turned the lower quarter into a lawless slum. Players follow Caim Astraea, a world-weary fixer surviving on dangerous odd jobs, whose fate changes when he meets a mysterious girl named Eustia, marked by ominous black wings. Their encounter draws Caim into a web of intrigue involving knights, nobles, church authorities, and the criminal underbelly, as conspiracies threaten the city’s fragile balance.
The game blends noir-flavored crime drama with high fantasy and moral dilemmas, exploring themes of sin, salvation, class divide, and the cost of miracles. It features branching story routes focused on multiple heroines, richly illustrated character art by Bekkankou, a somber, atmospheric soundtrack, and extensive voice acting for the main cast (protagonist excluded).
