- I am so honoured and grateful to receive a CBE. Thanks to all the @rcpsych members who elected and supported me. Thanks also to my patients and their carers who have inspired me to do my best to improve the services that they receive.
- This is very interesting. Staff in China dealing with COVID didn’t want psychological intervention, they asked for more rest without interruption and enough protective supplies. thelancet.com/journals/lanps…
- Visited @AuschwitzMuseum and Birkenau today. “Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”
- This is a junior person in the NHS. A senior person such as myself can shake exactly the right amount of coffee into a mug without difficulty. ☕️
- What a historic moment. @DrLadeSmith becomes the first black woman to lead a UK Royal College as she starts as President of @rcpsych .
- Our letter in @thetimes today. Entirely wrong to say there is no science behind psychiatry. And mentally ill people do not “choose not to work”, that is a disgusting thing to say.
- Pleased to announce that I have started with @NHS_HealthEdEng as a National Mental Health Clinical Advisor. Will be working on recruitment, training and workforce. Looking forward to collaboration with @rcpsych.
- Yesterday was my son’s wedding at St Paul’s Cathedral. A magical day. The sun came out just as the ceremony finished.☀️ 🎉 🎉🎉
- My son and his lovely girlfriend have got engaged! So pleased and excited. 🎉👏💍💒
