    I used to wear a homemade patch on my jacket that said "fuck hate" to protest racism and homophobia etc, but I wrote it poorly and my friends thought it said "fuck hats" for a while, which was hilarious because I often wore a plaid baseball cap at the time

    Even ten years into transition, it happens to me occasionally, and I suspect my dissociative disorder is why. I'd never go back; I am very happy to be myself and don't want to be an empty shell again. But my brain sometimes experiences the past as if it's the present 😭
