I had to ask for a Barbie every Christmas and birthday for three years because 1. At 10 I was too old for dolls and 2. My ironically light-skinned father said she was too white. He relented when the olive-skinned brunette came out. He said, "She looks Italian. Close enough."

Would Nimarata Randhawa, born to Indian immigrants Ajit Singh Randhawa, and Raj Kaur Randhawa, who emigrated from Amritsar District, Punjab, India have been elected governor if she had not miraculously morphed into "Nikki Haley"?

Can you tweet out a pattern? All us old ladies in the senior center quilting classes have miles of fabric and we're all stuck at home since the center closed.

You obviously don't remember when a kid escaped from Jeffrey Dahmer, running away naked, and the cops brought him back to be killed and eaten.

I have enough pictures of nieces and nephews born 1980-1990 to make flip book movies of their childhoods. Film wasn't that expensive.

I got into it once in an online group about the word "squaw". I read somewhere why it was offensive, so I stopped using it. Some guy argued that it was in common usage, so he could say it. I asked, "If you *know* something is offensive, why do you *want* to say it?"
