Big win at the Board this week. My legislation to cut red tape for chain stores on Van Ness passed on first reading. Van Ness has a 50%+ vacancy rate. This is about bringing back energy, activity & services to a corridor that’s been overlooked too long.

We can pass all the laws we want, but without enforcement they mean nothing. That goes for speeding and red lights, but also for open air drug use and sideshows. Public safety depends on action. Enforcement builds safety and trust.
