- Cheeky HEMS shift on a crispy sunny winters day. @EastAngliAirAmb
- Pleasure to be back in @Ldn_Ambulance after 10 years seeing how the APPCC model works. Thanks for the bubble tea 🧋 @Junaid_APPBusy shift yesterday in @Ldn_Ambulance APPCC Had great company for the day, @liamsagi1 started the day properly washing the car! A late finish and many miles covered across London. Good discussions around how different systems care for critically unwell patients across the UK
- Yesterday I officially graduated with my Masters Degree (with Distinction) at @QMUL . Thank you to everyone who helped me with endless essays and exams.
- Really humbled to present my work on Critical Hypertension in trauma patients after prehospital emergency anaesthesia @EuropSocEM #EUSEM2023 @EAAARAID
- So much more work to be done to improve the OHCA outcomes. We still haven’t nailed the chain of survival. All the fancy stuff is redundant if we don’t get the first bit consistent and equitable. We need to equip and support a generation.📰PRESS RELEASE: Study reveals cardiac arrest figures in England – with just 1 in 12 people surviving and leaving hospital. @warwickmed @uniofwarwick #research #medicine #ohcao 👉warwick.ac.uk/newsandevents/…
- We must improve the system. Right from the beginning. Every step makes a difference. But we must also capture the data properly in every step of the system and ensure everyone can use it to improve. Here's some basic cardiac arrest survival math. Use this to get the best guess of how many survivors to expect each year in your community. A city of 100K people with a 6.3% neuro-intact survivor rate (2023 national average) will save 3 people per year. Improve the system and
- Couldn’t agree more. I’m trying to do something….. @HelenVine66We urgently need the same quality indicators for care of patients who have suffered out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) - too much variability and no standardised data collection. @DrNileshPareek @ncurzen @DrPaulRees @BCIS_uk @mmamas1973 @DawnAdamson6 @ResusCouncilUK

- @TJCoats The full paper is now publishedHypertension just as bad as hypotension after head injury (but much less awareness of this). @liamsagi1 at #EUSEM2023 finding 12% patients hypertension >180mmHg after prehospital intubation. Is our concentration on avoiding hypotension causing harmful hypertension?
- @British_Airways terrible experience so far today. Delayed flight, half a bread roll stuffed in our business seat pocket and now our suitcase is lost and we cannot report online as the website doesn’t work. We have no clothes…
