    Hilmar won a state championship in 2018. Ripon and Escalon will try to do the same on Saturday, which would give the Trans-Valley League three state champs in a span of two seasons. Amazing!

    Jerry Streeter was one of the all-time greats of Modesto athletics. Incredible at everything he did: Athlete, coach, father, official, baseball scout. Always had a smile and a good word for you. Will not be forgotten.
