- California QBs go 4-0 in NFL playoffs this weekend. CJ Stroud (Rancho Cucamonga) Jordan Love (Liberty, Bakersfield) Jared Goff (Marin Catholic) Josh Allen (Firebaugh) If from Texas we’d never hear the end of it. National media only thinks Texas plays football.
- Grant Holman (left) is facing his first ever batter in MLB, who happens to be Casey Schmidt of Giants. Grant was a junior, Casey a senior on Chula Vista Eastlake’s 2017 team that went 32-4 and was State Team of Year. What are the odds this could happen?
- Governor Newsom just said that "pro sports events" in California can resume in June without fans. Good sign headed in right direction for more sports events to resume later in June & July.
- This yr's Super Bowl MVP was a QB for 13-0 team at Woodside High of Central Coast Sec in 2004. For those not signing letter of intent this year, he didn't as a senior either. College recruiting is not the end, just a step & it's not the end for those not getting offers either.

- Congrats Oakland High Wildcats. CIF D3 State Champions.
- These are the three De La Salle baseball players from 2019 State Team of Year who are all key contributors for football team - Vince Bianchina, Charles McAdoo, Zeke Berry. Multi sport athletes can still exist and shine at elite schools.
- CIF State Federated Council votes 146-0 to officially sanction girls flag football as a sport for all schools. It's been a sport in Florida for awhile. Will be a fall sport later this year.
- USC commits John Fifita and Chase Deniz greeted each other after St Francis MV vs Cathedral Catholic played on Friday. They were the biggest most physical guys out there but not against each other. Both offensive tackles.
- Not many QBs we've seen over the years go on to become MLB pitchers. Good luck in MLB debut tonight for former Rocklin High standout Logan Webb for @SFGiants vs. Dbacks.
- One of the greatest traditions in Calif football. They do this win or lose & no matter how disappointed they might be at time. Great lesson for all.For the final time this season. #credo
