    Our beautiful & incredible daughter Evanne sadly passed away last night after nearly 6 & a half years battling this cruel disease. We’re grateful that the oncology staff at QEHB & Good Hope ICU were so supportive & helped make her final hours as pain free & dignified as possible.

    That incredible feeling late yesterday when after a nail-biting 7 hours wait during surgery to remove our daughter’s brain tumour, the surgeon not only phones to say it went well but puts her on to say ‘Hi Mum & Dad, I’m OK’ 😭😭😭

    Our beautiful & incredible daughter Evanne has spent 6 years battling brain tumour/cancer & the awful side effects. What sustained her was her love of comedy & music - she could really do with a boost now, if you can spare a minute to send her a message

    Today would have been Evanne’s 25th Birthday. She always loved that she shared the same birthday as her icon, Marilyn Monroe - I hope the 2 of them are sat together somewhere sharing special memories & a drink. If you have a minute, please raise a glass and remember her ❤️

    Last Christmas our daughter collapsed, was rushed to hospital & diagnosed with a brain tumour. After 9 months of surgery, radio/chemo therapy she is ready to restart university. So proud of how she’s handled herself & the remarkable woman she is. 1/2

    After nearly 4 years of dealing with her cancer diagnosis, treatment & all the secondary physical & emotional issues and restarting University again, I am in awe of our daughter Evanne getting a First in her BA Fine Art degree - inspirational! #Proud #Hero

    When your daughter’s latest brain MRI scan shows almost no signs of cancer 😄😢💗 Still a way to go but we are so happy right now! Thank you Sarah, Willl, Jenny, Liam and everyone who has helped her so far with radiotherapy and chemotherapy @qehbham

    Despite everything, she said that cancer & brain tumour made her the kind, empathetic & resilient young woman she was - an ambassador for @TeenageCancer & @BrainTumourOrg society, a gifted art student @LICAatLancaster and the best daughter we could have ever have asked for.

    After 9 months of surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, illness and unpleasantness following her diagnosis, our daughter has gone back to restart university - so proud of her determination, courage & attitude. Thanks to @TeenageCancer & @BrainTumourOrg
