    as a mixed SWANA/latina VA, sumeru and natlan were both super special to me, i was so hyped for both! though not perfect, i appreciated the authentic rep in the ENG VO cast during sumeru. i wish it was prioritized in natlan as well. i know we can do better!!

    i have so many friends in the cast and they’re all super talented + i know they wouldn’t intentionally take roles they don’t authentically represent so I know it’s not on them!! but yeah i was expecting to see more latino rep in the cast! as a mexican VA (1/2)

    authentic casting is important and natlan’s cast is extremely disappointing. no disrespect to the actors themselves, i don’t know the specs of casting, i don’t know if they even knew it was for genshin or had any idea it was for natlan. my disrespect goes to casting. 🧵

    There’s a huge barrier to access for POC actors. A lot of us didn’t have access to the industry. A lot of us don’t have the funds for training. A lot of us are turned away from the beginning. Being first generation, I had to figure everything out all on my own. (1/3)

    Thank you Sumeru 🥹 I got to be a small part of Sumeru and I’m forever grateful for it. My culture was at the forefront of a game as significant as @GenshinImpact. I got to join my SWANA peers and represent my culture! I had a great time :)
