The UN Assistance Mission in Somalia ceased operations on 31 Oct. 2024, and was succeeded by the UN Transitional Assistance Mission in Somalia - @UNTMIS_.
- The @UN Transitional Assistance Mission in Somalia (#UNTMIS) began operations today, succeeding @UNSomalia - “UNTMIS reaffirms the UN’s commitment to the Government and people of #Somalia in building a stronger country and better future,” said #UN Acting Special Representative
