    Secretary-General @antonioguterres announced today the appointment of George Conway of #Canada as Deputy Special Representative for Somalia with the UN Assistance Mission in Somalia. He will also serve as Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator. un.org/sg/en/content/…

    Together with Somali authorities and humanitarian partners, we launched the 2024 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan for #Somalia today. The plan requires US$1.6B to provide urgent lifesaving humanitarian and protection assistance to 5.2 million people. #InvestInHumanity
