So sad to learn of the passing of our famous former pupil Stevie Chalmers, who scored the winning goal when Celtic won the European Cup in Lisbon in 1967. RIP. @CelticFC @FoundationCFC @StRochsJuniors

Truly a team effort involving every single colleague who works in St Roch's as well as tremendous commitment & effort from families and pupils themselves. Thanks to everyone involved in this colossal effort.

Spent several periods today walking around the school - covered every subject, most teachers and many pupils. Struck by how overwhelmingly strong relationships are in the school and how this contributes to effective learning and teaching. Very lucky to have such a lovely school.

Congratulations to Dr Gerry Hughes, former Deaf teacher at St Roch’s, on the launch of his book “Bridging Our Differences”. Remarkable story of how Gerry overcame communication / literacy barriers to become the first Deaf person to sail solo around the world. Now, he’s an author.

Sign of the Day today is ‘Thank you’. From your chin (not the lips - that’s blowing a kiss!) Hope you all have a nice day.
