    Yeah , I won the first time I went into a casino. I had a good friend who worked in security there. I got the payout. He casually walked past and said, " Leave now and never come back." He came around that evening and reiterated the message. Haven't gambled in any form since.

    Work in age care. Every day upon entering the building. N95 mask, temp check. 2 seperate check in apps. RAT. Protective eyeware/ face shield. Sanitise. Finish work go to supermarket. Mask up sanitise in the car. Walk in, 3 others wearing masks. Massive disconnect .

    Speaking as a person in the hospitality sector up here (Cairns/ port Douglas) there are many jobs on dive boats, restaurants, hotels etc. The money is pathetic. They rely on backpackers coming through and working for stuff all. A lot of us retrained over the last couple of years.

    Recently applied for a job on a dive boat,cooking.They were desperate. Wanted me to start the next day. When they told me what their pay rate was, I actually laughed in their faces. No weekend penalties either. I said I was getting more than this 20 years ago,same job. Hard no.

    This sums it up as far as I can see. Are we collectively smart enough? Of that I am entirely uncertain ( and superfluously speaking, terrified) that the Australian people are willing and able to remove these people. Will we vote in our nation's best interest? I have my doubts😔
